Las Vegas Allergy-Friendly Travel ItineraryHi there! Alyssa from All Things Allergies here. I am a 23-year-old doctoral student in psychology living in Chicago. I recently packed up for a girls weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada to celebrate a twenty first birthday (and our fresh new COVID-19 vaccinations, of course). Whenever traveling out West, the nut and fish free kitchen at In N’ Out Burger is always my first stop, but the city pleasantly surprised me with all of its allergy-friendly options. And sure, the desert heat put my auto injectors to the test, but it was no match for my Essential Pal cooling travel case. Check out the play-by-play details and honest reviews of my trip on Spokin at @alyssabauder and on Instagram at @allthingsallergies. Viva Las Vegas!
San Diego Allergy-Friendly Travel ItineraryI’m Lisa Horne, the mom behind the blog, Food Allergy P.I. As the mom of a teen with anaphylactic food allergies, I’ve learned to be a detective of all things food, fun and everything in-between. While food allergies can be tough, with a little research and planning we still enjoy life! Our most recent adventure took us to San Diego, California for a week in a VRBO. While we ordered groceries and made most of our meals at the vacation rental, we also visited a couple restaurants, bakeries and even a local amusement park where we enjoyed allergy-friendly food finds! I reviewed all our finds on the Spokin app, where you can come find and follow me for other reviews on products, travel, and more. I’m also on Instagram and all social media channels @foodallergypi!
Jersey Shore Allergy-Friendly Travel Itinerary
Hi everyone! I’m Brooke, I’m 20 years old, from the suburbs of Philadelphia and I have Celiac disease! My family travels to the Jersey Shore every summer and I have found some amazing Celiac-safe spots that we come back to year after year. It’s truly not a weekend at Long Beach Island without a breakfast sandwich from Surfside Coffee House or a delicious milkshake and burger from The Woohoo! And when we’re in Avalon, I simply can’t pass up the Killer Caramel ice cream at Buccaneer. I reviewed all my favorite Jersey Shore spots on the Spokin app! You can follow me there and on Instagram @celiactivist to stay up to date with my travel adventures!
Seattle Allergy-Friendly Travel ItineraryHi! I’m Emily, and I spent a week in Seattle this summer for my 21st birthday. I found so many great spots that accommodated my peanut, tree nut, and gluten allergies. Some of my favorite spots from the trip were GhostFish Brewing Company, a dedicated gluten-free brewery, nut-free ice cream at Molly Moon’s, and Capitol Cider, a dedicated gluten and nut-free restaurant! We visited lots of restaurants but also spent time sightseeing at the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, and the Chihuly Glass Museum. I reviewed all my spots from the trip on the Spokin app! Portland Allergy-Friendly Travel Itinerary
Hi friends! I’m Katelyn, a 26 year old from Arizona with Celiac disease. I recently spent the weekend in Portland with my husband and we drove to tons of dedicated gluten free bakeries and restaurants! Portland is the most Celiac-friendly city in the United States with over 20+ dedicated gluten free spots! I reviewed all my recommendations on the Spokin app @eatglutenfreeaz and you can also follow along with my gluten free adventures on Instagram @eatglutenfreeaz.
San Antonio Allergy-Friendly Travel ItineraryHi, y’all! I’m Jenna Urben, and I’m a 28 year old food blogger from Dallas, TX. In addition to being allergic to Penicillin, I developed an egg allergy in high school and lactose intolerance in college. Due to my food allergies and intolerances, I cut egg and dairy completely out of my lifestyle. A few times every year, I head down to San Antonio to spend time with my family. I love exploring the outdoor historical spots and discovering new bars and restaurants! Some of my favorite places from the trip were Pharm Table, a local restaurant featuring plant-forward and gluten-free organic options and Down on Grayson, a Modern-American restaurant with fresh and fun cocktails and mocktails. I recommend the Ranch Water or Virgin Lavender Lemonade. Browse all of my reviews on the Spokin app! My username is the same as my Instagram, @theurbenlife. You can also find my allergy-friendly recipes and travel guides on https://theurbenlife.com. Enjoy and let me know which spot is your favorite or on your must-visit list!
Seaside Allergy-Friendly Travel ItineraryHey, Holly here from the Killer Food Allergies podcast and guess what? WE FINALLY WENT ON A FAMILY VACATION! After more than a year of cancelled plans, we loaded up the car and headed off for a fun-filled week on the beach in the Seaside area, on the Gulf Coast side of Florida. It was a great trip, with perfect weather and an itinerary packed with activities. Throughout the week, we ate at many restaurants and had great luck with being well received where our allergy issues are concerned. Water Color main stay, The Wine Bar, even had Divvies available in their market. Special shout out to Cafe 20—amazing food and it’s helpful that the chef is allergic to tree nuts! My reviews from this trip are available on the Spokin app @hbayardo. Check ‘em out. We were blown away that restaurant after restaurant treated us so well and went WAY out of their way to take care of us. Happy Summer & Safe Travels! -Love, Holly
Peanut Free Egg Free Seattle Itinerary
Hello everyone, I’m Natalie! I am a food allergy mom to our three year old daughter Penelope who is allergic to eggs and peanuts. My family and I live in Southern California, and we love traveling. We kicked off summer by taking a family trip to Seattle. This trip was so much fun and we enjoyed eating delicious food. If you are looking for fun things to do in Seattle with little ones, be sure to visit Pike Place Market, Space Needle, Woodland Park Zoo, Chihuly Glass and Garden, Seattle Aquarium, Fremont Troll, and Pier 57 to ride the Seattle Great Wheel. During our stay, we found some safe restaurants to dine at as well as great spots that were accommodating to our daughter's food allergies. Our favorite spots were Von’s 1,000 Spirits, Beecher’s Handmade Cheese, Local Public Eatery, Hot Cakes Molten Chocolate Cakery, and Collection’s Cafe located at Chihuly Glass and Garden.
For our trip, I packed many of our favorite allergy-friendly snacks and products such as Birch Benders Pancake and Waffle Mix, YumEarth fruit snacks and lollipops, Partake Foods Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies, GoGo Squeez Yogurt Pouches, Wet Ones Wipes, disposable placemats, and our ParaMedic crossover body EpiPen Med Bag. On the Spokin App, I reviewed all the food spots and attractions from this trip as well as all the snacks and helpful products I brought with us to Seattle.
