Gluten-Free Mexico City Top Picks
Hi! I’m Sarah and I recently took a girls trip to Mexico City, where I lived as a kid. I managed to find amazing safe places to eat while staying gluten free, and one of my girlfriends on the trip has the same allergies as my son: tree nuts and eggs and is also allergic to peanuts. Our absolute favorite meal of the trip was at Casa Virginia—a must-visit! My girlfriend had the sopes, sea bass, and crème brûlée, and I loved the sopes and risotto, if you don’t speak Spanish, you’ll want to bring an allergy translation card, I had our Equal Eats card on hand. A really fun thing to do while you’re there is a hot air balloon ride in Tenochtitlan over the pyramids—absolutely stunning and so worth the early wake-up. Follow me on Spokin @thedyercrew! 5 Gluten-Free Restaurants in Tulum
Hi, I’m Lauryn, I am allergic to gluten, dairy, soy, hazelnut, peanut, flaxseed, corn, and pineapple. My husband and I spent a few days in Tulúm for the second time. We stayed at Jashita hotel and did plenty of snorkeling. We enjoyed the fresh, allergy-friendly options at their restaurant Pandano (they even made me French fries fried in olive oil!). We ate at Burrito Amor and KENGAI, both were amazing and super accommodating for all my allergies. My highlight of the trip was The Better Donut, they are incredible with food allergies (I emailed them in advance) and they made an assortment of safe, healthy donuts for me to enjoy!
