Norwegian Cruise Line
“Norwegian was amazing with my allergies! I was quite nervous going into the cruise because there are not a lot of hospitals in Alaska and this was my first ever cruise. Meals ended up being amazing! The menus were labeled showing what items contained nuts. Everyday, I was able to pre-order my dinner for the next day in the main dining room. Joel (a waiter on the ship whose only job is to help people with dietary needs) came to my table to bring me the next day’s menu. He was able to tell me which item I could and could not have. Everyday I ordered the “chef’s choice” for dessert because most of their desserts were made out of house. The chef’s choice was always amazing! I was also able to have the French baguette. All of the waiters were educated on allergies. Every meal, someone would ask if anyone at the table had an allergy and if I placed a pre-order. When they brought out my food, I was reassured it was mine because they would tell me it was the special order. Joel would then come to check on me to make sure everything was right. It was a great cruise!”

Water St. Café
Location: Vancouver, Canada
“The only nuts on the menu are pine nuts and pistachios. Even though I am not allergic to these nuts, I don’t eat them out because of cross-contamination. The waiter made note of my allergy and told the kitchen. Food was delicious! I had the Rigatoni Arrabbiata and the Caesar salad. Looked so good that I started eating before I took a photo!”

Soft Peaks Ice Cream
Location: Vancouver, Canada
“Wow! This ice cream shop is amazing! Absolutely no nuts (other than coconut)! However, the mango puree, Tim Tams, and coconut may contain peanuts and tree nuts. They only have soft serve ice cream. It was so delicious and pretty!”

The Alaska Fish House
Location: Ketchikan, Alaska
“Absolutely no nuts! They use soybean oil. Fish was so good! I ordered the grilled halibut rice bowl and shared the smoked salmon chowder with my parents. Chowder was amazing! Long line, but worth the wait!”

Red Dog Saloon
Location: Juneau, Alaska
“No nuts on the menu. I ordered the salmon burger with no bun. It was very good and messy.”

Sled Dog Discovery & Musher’s Camp® in Juneau Alaska
Location: Juneau, Alaska
“There was not any food here other than coffee and hot chocolate. Such a great experience going dog mushing! We even got to pet 4-week-old puppies! Beautiful scenery as well!”

Glacier Point Wilderness Safari – Skagway, AK
Location: Skagway, Alaska
“This tour of the Davidson Glacier was incredible! We hiked, canoed, and even picked wild strawberries! They gave us a picnic lunch consisting of a turkey sandwich, granola bar, and sun chips. I called ahead to make sure it would be safe for me. They also had a vegetarian option for my sister! Amazing excursion with a once in a lifetime experience!”
