Antigua and Barbuda

Royalton Antigua

Location: Five Islands Village, Antigua and Barbuda

“Just returned from an awesome trip to the Royalton! We were able to speak with Gus, the food service manager, before our arrival and then met with him and chef Paul, the executive chef, when we first arrived. They were both very well educated and made me feel so comfortable. We scheduled dinner with them for each night of our stay in a different restaurant on the property. This way the head chef at each restaurant was prepared and expecting me. Each night at dinner I was able to speak with the head chef at that restaurant to ask questions about menu items and figure out a safe meal. For breakfast and lunch at the main buffet, I would walk around and see what I might be interested in. Then a head chef would let me know which items were safe and would prepare a plate for me in the kitchen to avoid cross-contact risk from the buffet. All of the chefs we talked to were extremely well educated and helpful. Can’t say enough great things about my stay here.”

Keyonna Beach, Antigua

Location: Johnsons Point, Antigua and Barbuda

“The most unreal honeymoon we could’ve asked for. When searching for an all-inclusive honeymoon, I worried that the “stress-free, totally relaxed” type of vacation wouldn’t be possible for me with my allergy. Keyonna’s staff was consistent, educated, and compassionate. No peanuts were kept on property during my stay. The waitstaff knew not only about my allergies before I ordered each meal, but they truly got to know how I liked my coffee, my eggs in the morning, and cocktails on the beach. The lunch menu rotated every few days, the dinner menu rotated nightly, and the breakfast menu was consistent across the week. The food was incredible – fresh, healthy, and just what you’d want on vacation. The peak of my life was being served French fries and cocktails every evening on our private pool deck…cannot recommend Keyonna enough!”

Aruba

Holiday Inn Resort Aruba-Beach Resort & Casino

Location: Noord, Aruba

“My daughter just returned from her college spring break with friends. She stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort Aruba-Beach Resort & Casino. I cannot begin to explain what a positive experience this was for her. She contacted the hotel before leaving and was told to speak to a chef when she arrived. She said she quickly became friendly with the staff, chef, and waiters/waitresses at the hotel. Some of the waiters and waitresses rotate between the restaurants, so she saw some of them a few times. But even if it was a new person, they knew immediately to get the chef for her. She said she barely needed to even to ask. All she had to say was that she had celiac disease, and they all knew what on the menu was safe and then they would get the chef to further explain. She was able to have such a wide variety of food. The poolside restaurant had a small kitchen, so they couldn’t cook safely there but she was able to order salads, sandwiches, burgers and more. They would make it in a separate kitchen away from the gluten kitchens. Everything was done separately. She was also able to grab açaí bowls from Eduardo’s Beach Shack and gelato from Da Passeggio off the premises. Both were safe and aware of allergies. For a college student, this was not as over-the-top priced as many others, and she could not have felt safer all around. I highly recommend!”

Costa Rica

Pacuare Lodge

Location: Limón, Costa Rica

“Most unique hotel we’ve ever stayed at and some of the best gluten-free food. This place is absolutely magical. You can only get to it by white water rafting in and out. It’s all-inclusive including 3 meals a day and lots of activities. They were able to make everything gluten-free on every menu including making me hamburger buns from scratch hours before my arrival. Everything is so fresh and very high quality. We zip lined, waterfall rappelled, and more. Highly recommend. Very very good with allergies.”

Riu Guanacaste

Location: Quepos, Costa Rica

“We stayed at this resort over the holidays. It was all inclusive. It had a lot of food options including an Italian restaurant, steakhouse, and sushi restaurant. We spent most of our time eating at the buffets. All the food served has labels identifying items for food allergies which was super helpful. I am gluten-free and could find quite a bit of options. I have to say the fruit was super fresh every day and was the most amazing pineapple around. Everyone loved it!”

Dominican Republic

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana

Location: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

“The Hard Rock Punta Cana is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are amazing, it’s huge, the beach is beautiful in comparison to other beaches I visited in the DR, and it overall was lively and fun.

Food allergy-wise, I called a few times to try to get answers on how to approach food allergies and the responses that I got over the phone were very unhelpful, so I was nervous going into the week. They told me when I got there that they would put a note on file that I had allergies and that when we made a reservation at any restaurant, the chefs would be aware. They also told me they would give me sheets of paper that translated my allergies into Spanish. I bought my own allergy translation cards because I was nervous, and because I had taken Spanish for so long, I knew how to say “I’m allergic to ____”, “is there milk in the eggs”, “what type of oil do you use”, etc. which definitely helped and I would recommend.

When I got to the hotel, I went up to do the hard rock translation cards and they only ended up putting 2 of my allergies on the cards. When I asked for the other allergy to be put on, they just had me write it on the page, which is a little odd because I wanted it in the system at all of the restaurants but I went with it. It turned out to not be an issue because when they would ask me at the hostess stand what my allergies were, I’d just add in the missing one and they would translate it for me.

I noticed with the language barrier that if I started out in English, the waiters would get very overwhelmed but if I spoke them in Spanish, they understood well and knew exactly what to do/say.

The food is very decent—nothing to write home about. I definitely played it safe with my meals and chose things that I could sort of assume would be safe—plain salmon and broccoli, plain steak, plain pasta, etc. A couple of helpful tips— they fry in canola oil (I believe) and their pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris are dairy-free! Some of the restaurants also have allergen icons on their menus (Toro, Isla and Los Gallos were the 3 I noticed it on). Breakfast is typically buffet style at all restaurants with a few made to order omelet stations (found them at Isla and the Market). They don’t have non-dairy milk (just lactose-free) except for on the room service menu, but they do have popular cereals out in their own small boxes. The staff on the floor at pretty much every buffet I went to couldn’t tell me about the kitchen prep, so I stuck with the made to order eggs and fruit. Lunch at Bistro Med and the adult pool, Eden, were both great choices—avoid the pool bar/food truck if you can- the food is fine, but it’s all like fried chicken, burgers, fries, etc. and it definitely gets old after the first day.

Overall, communication and patience is definitely key at this resort. The staff is friendly but can sometimes be slightly unhelpful, but they will work with you if you’re patient with them and clear about your needs.”

Club Med Punta Cana

Club Med Punta Cana

Location: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

“I’ve been to several Club Meds. Most of their food is buffet style. One of the scariest places for someone with food allergies. As soon as you walk in to the restaurant ask for a chef. They will walk you around and tell you what’s safe and what isn’t. If you mention about cross-contamination they will make your food separate in the back. Very accommodating. I’ve never gotten sick at a Club Med.”

Italy

Tui Sensimar Grand Hotel Nastro Azzurro

Tui Sensimar Grand Hotel Nastro Azzurro

Location: Piano di Sorrento, Italy

“My wife and I came to the TUI Blue resort as part of our honeymoon. We worked with our travel agent to contact the hotel in advance—on their website it states they cater for people with allergies—including nut allergies like mine. On arrival, were blown away by how accessible the all-inclusive package was to people with allergies. The Maitre D’, Enzo, looked after us from start to finish, liaising with his staff to make sure allergy protocols were followed in the kitchen and in the restaurant – nothing seemed to be too much trouble. On the breakfast and lunch buffets and the evening a la carts menus, all the major allergens were highlighted—the only thing we were advised to avoid were the desserts. In the starters and mains throughout the week, there was only one dish that contained nuts (a pasta dish containing pistachios), however, the kitchen prepared our food in a completely separate station to avoid cross contamination. A pleasure to experience, and I would recommend this resort to anyone with an allergy!”

“iberostar is such an amazing hotel to visit if you have food allergies!! I did the day pass here, and they were incredible. The main chef was able to tell me exactly what i could and couldn’t have safely, and was even willing to get me french fries from the beach grill that didn’t use them in the same fryer as fish! and the cherry on top is that i was able to have the ice cream there (clean scoop from the back of course) overall I had a 10/10 experience”

Maldives

Baglioni Resort Maldives Luxury All Inclusive - LHW Reviews, Deals & Photos 2026 - Expedia

Baglioni Maldives

Location: Rinbudhoo, Maldives

“I cannot say enough about Baglioni Maldives. They welcomed me with open arms upon my arrival. Their attention to detail with my food allergies is something I never experienced before (in the US and while traveling to other countries). They keep a photo of each guest and list of any dietary restrictions, allergies, etc. in their kitchen so that all staff is informed and aware at all times.

They were well educated on cross-contact of allergens and prepared all of my meals safely. I was able to enjoy and eat so many different cuisines as they modified the options to fit my needs. Chef Ali and all the staff were just incredible.

There is also a doctor and clinic on site on the Baglioni Resort island in case of an emergency, and the nearest hospital 20 minutes by speedboat (Nilandhoo Hospital) and the second nearest is 40 minutes by speedboat (Dhaal Atoll Hospital).

I highly recommend this resort to the food allergy community!”

Hotel Riu Caribe Restaurant: Pictures & Reviews - Tripadvisor

Hotel Riu Caribe

Location: Cancún, Mexico

“I was nervous about going to an all-inclusive but Riu Caribe was great! The front desk printed out a sheet detailing my allergens in Spanish for the kitchen staff (it also helped that I speak fluent Spanish), and I showed the staff my allergy card every time I ate. The buffet chefs made me a separately prepared plate every day for lunch (the pic attached), and the restaurants were able to alter menu items to be safe for me. The only drawback was that the allergen labels on the buffet food items were incorrect for everything (listed allergens that weren’t present or didn’t list allergens that were, as told to me by kitchen staff), so if you go, please talk to the staff!”

Marriott Cancun

Location: Cancún, Mexico

“Our family was absolutely blown away by our experience at this all-inclusive! Not only are there several restaurant options onsite including a grab-and-go, buffet, and sit down, but the room service and staff made all the difference here. We were asked to provide allergy info in advance of check-in, and the staff confirmed with us upon check-in. They then showed us where we can provide allergy info when making restaurant reservations. Every time we checked in at a restaurant the staff confirmed the allergy and informed our servers. The in-room dining was a similar experience. We even got a call back once after ordering to share an update that an item we ordered was not safe for our daughter, and we were able to modify. Every time we had a question, even from a coffee attendant or server by the pool, we were provided a wealth of information, and we felt incredibly confident in our food choices. There is also a small mini fridge in the room that allowed us to store grab-and-go options throughout our stay.”

Sun Palace® All Inclusive - Couples Only Resort

Sun Palace®

Location: Cancún, Mexico

“This adults-only all-inclusive was excellent with my peanut and tree nut allergies. Room service, in the restaurant, beachside delivery, etc. were excellent. The allergy was marked on the reservation, so they were notified at every restaurant we went to. We also were able to mark allergens on the room service orders. We also visited the larger Palace resort (Moon Palace) for a meal and everything was handled smoothly. Many menus even had nuts and seeds listed next to items that contained those allergens. There is a Thai restaurant in the Sun Palace that we did not go to because there were nuts in the majority of dishes, but I had no issues in any of the restaurants we went to. Highly recommend this for an adults-only relaxing getaway!”

Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort

Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort

Location: Cancún, Mexico

“All-inclusive hotel resort complex… place. Enormous. Tons of choices in food. Servers are attentive to food allergies but it’s a mixed-use kitchen, so for gluten, at least, there’s no guarantee against cross-contamination.

Menus are super descriptive and note gluten-free options. But buffets have no signage denoting what’s safe and what’s not safe, so you’re kinda on your own.

Food has been great but gluten-free dessert options have been kinda crummy. Pretty much sorbet and macaroons, not the worst outcome, I guess!

We’ve been here for 5 days, and I haven’t had a real problem.

EDIT: Super impressed with how they handle things in the a la carte restaurants. Ate at the Asian restaurant, and they cooked everything in a secondary kitchen.”

Marquis Los Cabos

Location: San José del Cabo, Mexico

“We stayed 4 nights at the Marquis Los Cabos for a girls trip! The resort was stunning, and the customer service was incredible. Everyone was so kind and welcoming! The facilities were very clean and our rooms were serviced daily.

I reached out to the staff before booking to review their menus and ask about my allergies. I felt comfortable and confident with their responses so we decided to book. They asked about allergies when making our on-site dinner reservations. Also, when dining at the hotel, the staff was diligently trained to ask about allergies both at the hostess stand and at the table with the waiter. We had no difficulty with language barriers, as everyone we interacted with spoke English.

There were very minimal peanuts on any of the menus at the resort – Only in a few desserts and on the Sake menu, which is an Asian-inspired restaurant. I had no issues with any of the bars, restaurants, coffee shops, or poolside service.

The hospital/emergency room was only 15 to 20 minutes away. We drove past, and it looked very nice from the outside. The resort was also only 35 minutes from the airport.

Would definitely recommend the Marquis for those with nut allergies!”

“I recently stayed at this resort while visiting Mexico. The resort is all-inclusive with buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For dinner you can also make reservations at restaurants for a four course meal. This resort has 4 major hotels onsite so there are many dining options. The menus were often labeled with gluten-free options, and the staff seemed knowledgeable. I introduced myself to the chef at the buffet I most often attended for breakfast. Each day, she prepared for me my own meals separate from the buffet. She even had a separate waffle maker for gluten-free which was great. She made me pancakes and crepes as well! The resort was gorgeous as well. Multiple pools, activities like salsa classes and Zumba. We stayed at the adults only hotel which was amazing as well.”

“I stayed at Secrets Playa Blanca and had a very positive experience managing my food allergies. I’ve had a bad experience at a different all-inclusive in the past, so I’m very glad to have had a positive experience here.

I brought an allergy card to each meal, and staff consistently took it seriously and communicated clearly with the kitchen. Fernanda, the Food Concierge, was especially helpful in coordinating meals and making sure I felt confident about my options, and the chefs were accommodating even at breakfast and casual lunch spots. The food was consistently good, and most importantly, I felt safe eating throughout my stay.

Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun

Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun

Location: Puerto Morelos, Mexico

“We stayed at this all-inclusive resort for one week. When you check-in to either an a la carte restaurant (menus available on the app) or buffet, you are always asked if there are any allergies. While this is great, you will still need to check with your waiter (at the a la carte) and reach-out to the kitchen manager / chef at the buffet to confirm allergies and identify which food are allergy-free. We got to know one of the kitchen managers who made sure our son always had something he could eat. I was also impressed with room service as you could make notes on the online request form (app), and they would call you if there were any questions. The bartenders were also accommodating with letting us read the ingredients on the containers for drinks like pina coladas, etc. My son also loved the sorbet options for dessert. Hyatt owns many different properties and brands, such as Dreams, so we will be looking into these properties in the future to see if they are also allergy aware.”

When we first arrived we spoke to a manager, and they walked us around the buffet to show what I could have. I don’t remember if allergens were listed at the menu stations, but I was able to eat a large number of things at the buffet and felt pretty comfortable. There were also staff at most stations, so I could show them my card and ask if I had any questions. “Unico went above and beyond! I have nothing but amazing things to say about my stay here. I let them know about my allergies prior to booking, and they reassured me it would be no problem. When I arrived, I let them know who I was, how long I was staying, and they created a Spanish-English allergy card for me.

I was introduced to the head of hospitality, who spoke with the buffet chef to ensure my breakfasts and lunches were made separately. For breakfast, I stuck with some fruit (which they plated beautifully) and some bacon.

For my first lunch, I got my classic chicken salad with olive oil. For the rest of the week I enjoyed some chicken tacos (they were seriously so good, and I ate them everyday).

For dinners, I spoke to the waitstaff and chefs and presented my allergy card as well. Each time the staff was confident in how to handle allergies. I safely ate chicken teriyaki bowls, steak with mushroom risotto, and mushroom mousse soup.

The best part was that the chefs surprised me with safe desserts that they prepared specifically for me! I was blown away. I had a nut-free tapioca pudding, and poached pears with in-house chocolate. I’m usually never able to eat dessert, and this was the highlight of the trip!”

Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos

Location: San José del Cabo, Mexico

“This resort is a gluten-free dream!! Upon check in you create an allergen profile attached to your room reservation. You can select over 80+ foods you are allergic to/avoid. I selected celiac, gluten, wheat, + barley.

The resort has 7 restaurants + room service: Blanc Asia, Blanc Italia, Blanc Pizza, Blanc Ocean, Blanc International, Mezze, and Lumiere

Most of the menus have gluten-free options labeled but always speak with the restaurant manager for the night. Sometimes they can make something special or modify the menu.

They have a breakfast buffet that stocks gluten-free bread, muffins, + buns in separate bins. They also have a dedicated toaster kept on the opposite side of the breakfast buffet. The only downside is none of the food items are labeled with allergens. The manager can make you almost anything fresh in the back, and if you are ordering something fried I recommend mentioning you want fresh separate oil.

I was able to have French toast, pizza, shrimp tempura, sushi, tacos, nachos, toast, pb+j, pasta, bruschetta, pita bread, cookies, and more!”

“Had a great overall experience here for both celiac and a nut allergy. Met with a chef to discuss the protocol at check-in and had the chance to talk with the nurse but declined.

Silk, Calabash, Trattoria, and La Luna were all able to accommodate me with dishes and the menus were all labeled. Some were labeled wrong which was annoying, but the waitstaff was careful and talked to the chef. For some reason, I had a bit more trouble at Silk, but the chef came out to talk a couple times.

For the buffet (breakfast and lunch), I was able to ask to meet with the chef to preorder meals beforehand. For lunch, I would order at breakfast. They have gluten-free pasta, pizza, can do jerk stuff, salt fish, etc. was easy to communicate, and they knew who I was quickly. Wonderful chefs who were beyond kind.

Main issues were that they don’t have other options for lunch besides the buffet, but honestly it seems like it had the best food over the other places. The buffet nights were not doable for cross-contamination, and unfortunately only Silk was open which limits options.

Never got sick and ate well!”

“This hotel was so good with handling my allergies when it came to meal times. It is buffet food in an all-inclusive resort, but I felt so comfortable. The waiting staff got to know me after the first day! Every time I came in they asked me if I was ready and led me to the buffet with the head chef, and they went through every dish to tell me yes or no for my allergies/may contain dishes.

I felt super comfortable, and they made me feel very relaxed.
There is also a mini fridge in the room so I was able to put some snacks in there (though I didn’t really use this as I was comfortable eating at meal times).

The snack bar by the pool serves simple food throughout the day. They served chicken nuggets, pizza, burgers, and toasted sandwiches. Felt very comfortable eating here too.

I was very happy and comfortable drinking the drinks and cocktails. Staff allowed me to see the bottles to google them. I took my allergy translator card with me, and staff took my allergies very seriously. Would definitely come back again!”

Zafiro Palace Andratx

“There’s nothing that the concierges at this hotel can’t do. If you tell them about your allergies pre-arrival, they will take care of the rest — letting the staff at all on-site restaurants and the spa know, calling other restaurants in the area for you, making thoughtful suggestions as to where you should eat, and more. I would order a drink at the pool bar and tell the bartender my name and room number, and they would confirm that none of my allergens were present in the drink. Each room in this all-suite hotel has a mini-bar with enough space to store food if needed, but honestly (especially if you do the all-inclusive option) you won’t need it. There are several on-site restaurants where I enjoyed safe meals—Mare Nostrum, La Veranda, Tastes & Sushi, and Caliu Steakhouse—and each one clearly understood my allergies and was able to modify their dishes for me. The breakfast buffet here is incredibly robust, and top allergens are labeled on each buffet item (huge!) This location is unbeatable, it’s in a quieter area of the island with both mountain and sea views — but you also can get into Palma by car in 15 – 20 minutes.”

There were, however, nuts in the salad section and in the mornings for oatmeal/yogurt add-ins. I ate lunch at the beach shack and then breakfast and dinner at the buffet each day. Normally buffets are something I stay away from but was pleased with my experience here. Can’t say that all-inclusives will be my go-to in the future just for allergy sake (and an extremely picky palette), but this was definitely a good experience for my spring break! Side note! It is right down the beach from Baha Mar which we went to for dinner and drinks. Highly recommend going there—so good with allergies and great vibes all around.”

“Incredible! Amazing food and an even better allergy program. The chefs go out of their way to make this all-inclusive and completely a safe and special experience. People said better than Disney, and I didn’t believe it until I was there! Can’t recommend highly enough!”

“An absolute dream come true! Since I cannot eat off of buffets, the chefs prepared separate food for me for every meal! To make things easiest and safest, I brought my own boxes of cereal for breakfast, but I ate all other meals at the main restaurant! I had very simple food (e.g., grilled fish/chicken/steak with assorted veggies and rice, salads, fresh fruit), but it was all safe, healthy, and absolutely delicious! They made it seem like it was so easy for them to accommodate me. I did not have to wait long for my meals, and I always ordered the next meal at the previous meal (e.g., ordered dinner at lunch). The chefs were so kind, too! Other pleasant surprises were several of the bartenders being very happy to sanitize the blenders and take precautions so that I could get frozen drinks and the fries and chips being made in a dedicated fryer at the beach bar! It was so much fun to be able to enjoy happy hour like everyone else! My favorite combination was sweet potato fries and guacamole, which I got daily. Truly cannot recommend this place more and already have my next trip booked! Also, while I always bring my own products just in case, the bath and body products in the room were safe for my allergens and absolutely incredible! No feather bedding, either.”
