Cape Cod Milk and Nut Allergy-Friendly Travel Itinerary
Hi! I’m Catherine and I’m 18 years old. I’m from Ohio and I spend every summer in Chatham, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. I have severe food allergies to dairy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, latex, and quinoa. I am a rising freshman in college and will be attending Tufts University! Hi there! Alyssa from All Things Allergies here. I am a 23-year-old doctoral student in psychology living in Chicago. I recently packed up for a girls weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada to celebrate a twenty first birthday (and our fresh new COVID-19 vaccinations, of course). While food allergies can be tough, with a little research and planning we still enjoy life! Our most recent adventure took us to San Diego, California for a week in a VRBO. While we ordered groceries and made most of our meals at the vacation rental, we also visited a couple restaurants, bakeries and even a local amusement park where we enjoyed allergy-friendly food finds! Hi! I’m Emily, and I spent a week in Seattle this summer for my 21st birthday. I found so many great spots that accommodated my peanut, tree nut, and gluten allergies. Some of my favorite spots from the trip were GhostFish Brewing Company, a dedicated gluten-free brewery, nut-free ice cream at Molly Moon’s, and Capitol Cider, a dedicated gluten and nut-free restaurant! In honor of Pride Month, we are thrilled to feature Split-Rail, a LGBTQ-owned restaurant and a haven to the food allergy community.
