San Antonio Food Allergy-Friendly City Guide

Food allergies, meet San Antonio. This year, the annual FARE National Food Allergy Conference is heading to Texas to gather the country's top food allergy innovators and experts on the banks of the San Antonio River Walk. Lucky for us, the River Walk is the best way to see and taste San Antonio. With dozens of restaurants lining the river, there are plenty food allergy-friendly places to choose from. We've found the hottest food allergy-friendly spots that are quick to accommodate food allergic guests and make dining out as easy as it should be.

Split-Rail

In honor of Pride Month, we are thrilled to feature
Split-Rail, a LGBTQ-owned restaurant and a haven to the food allergy community. Chef and owner Zoe Schor is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts and has a sesame intolerance and her Chicago-based restaurant is 100% nut-free, including the desserts and alcohol. Her experiences dining out with food allergies and with friends and family with specialized diets fueled her desire to take the embarrassment out of dining out with food allergies and build trust with her customers in her own restaurant.
