Café di Roma

“I ate the Carbonara! It was delicious. The waitstaff told me that they don’t use any nuts in their kitchen other than the macarons—and therefore almost any pizza or pasta dish was safe for me!”

Gigi Paris

“The food here was amazing and they were very good with allergies and double checked everything. I got the veal Milanese and it was great. The food here is definitely more expensive.”

Brasserie Flottes

“This was an incredible restaurant from the food to the proactive waitstaff to the decor!
The waiter knew every ingredient in every menu item. When they placed the bread basket down, he mentioned this is nut-free. We had everything from chicken to fish to pasta along with a charcuterie board and I felt very confident that everything was safe for my kids. The food was delicious and I’d definitely recommend!”

Loulou Restaurant Paris

Les Antiquaires

“Head waiter is very allergy and cross-contamination aware (and the other waiters less so)—he’s also a father of a child with nut allergies. However, their fries are made in peanut oil. Do ask very closely and carefully about the dishes including cooking oils and other nut oils and nuts added.”

L’Oliveto Paris

“We ate here a few times while in Paris. The owner was wonderful and reassuring. He and the waiter brought us the allergy book. Their pastas are delicious – as well as the pizza. My peanut-allergic daughter ate well here! (We avoided table bread and desserts).”

Le Balzar

“We had a great experience here with both waitstaff and chef. There was none or very few items in the menu with any nuts and we ate there two nights—steak frites with a side green salad and a charcuterie board to start.”

Jardin du Palais Royal

“This was my favorite restaurant in France! I called ahead of time to let them know about my allergies, and once I got there they brought out special options for me so I didn’t have to miss out on any appetizers or desserts on the fixed menu! The staff made sure to bring out alternatives for me that were extremely similar to the original dish itself! It’s was such a good, filling meal!”
@avasato, who manages tree nut allergies

Les Patios

“We went here twice while in Paris. Both waiters spoke at least some English and were versed on allergy protocols. The kid had lasagna, and when it came, we saw what clearly looks like pesto drizzled on top. Since the kid has but allergies, we were kind of bummed the server had missed it: until he stressed that no, in Paris pesto is just oil, parmesan and basil. I felt like that was a well-handled curveball by him, and a lesser server would have just taken the dish back. On a different note, the bacon cheeseburger was truly excellent for me.”

Hippopotamus

“When we mentioned food allergies prior to being seated, we were immediately given a food allergen binder that details major allergens for all of their menu items. Also, the waitress confirmed that the kitchen uses sunflower oil (not peanut oil). There were no menu items with peanuts or lupin, and the tree nuts were limited to dessert items. My daughter was able to order, and safely eat, a burger and fries. She rated the food a 7.5/10, and the rest of our meals were also very good. Based on our positive experience, we may dine there again during our vacation.”
@stephp, who manages peanut and tree nut allergies

Restaurant Italien Arlecchino

“Stopped here for a quick (and delicious) lunch. A few menu items contain tree nuts, but no peanuts or peanut oil was present. Their menu has allergen symbols right on it, and the staff was knowledgeable. My daughter was able to enjoy a delicious pizza that she rated an 8/10.”

Champion

“The staff is very educated about food allergies. Everything is homemade and there are a few dishes so they know exactly what’s in it and can tell you.”
@ambrechn, who manages a tree nut allergy

Jimmy’s Street Food

“Messages ahead of time and was told they don’t use peanut oil, and they do use sunflower oil, grape seed oil, and olive oil. Staff spoke English and could tell us what allergens were in each dish. No peanuts!”
