Molly Moon’s
“Nut-free ice cream in the Seattle area! We went to multiple locations & they were super consistent with allergies! They can have a busy rush in the afternoon and/or evening, so if you have other allergies than nuts that is something to note; however, they were accommodating both times in regards to gluten! Hazelnuts are a topping, but all ice cream flavors are nut-free. The ice cream is delicious!”

Shug’s Soda Fountain and Ice Cream
“We had the s’mores sundae. I don’t recall how I made sure it was a safe scoop for my son, but I recall that it was safe, and that they took care of his food allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, and sesame. It was a cool spot. The roasting of the marshmallows was fun.”

Salt & Straw
“I love going to this Salt & Straw location, every time they handle my allergies so well! Even though they regularly use nuts in their flavors, I feel comfortable getting an ‘allergy scoop’ from a new container in the back. They also have an ingredients chart that staff are more than happy to share to determine whether a flavor is safe for me.”

Frankie & Jo’s
“This is a vegan ice cream spot—super high end and cool flavors— MANY flavors are made with cashew milk, which normally would be a non-starter for us, BUT they have several that are coconut based, and an entire separate area to get the ice cream for nut allergies—they are crazy careful. There are nut warnings all over the menu (they even have a sign that they won’t serve kids 11 or younger without an adult.) But I was wowed with their care and knowledge. They also have maple vanilla waffle cones that are gluten-free and vegan.”

Ice Cream Social
“This fruit-based ice cream shop has no nuts! They take vanilla and mix in fresh fruit of your choice. Only some pre-packaged items with nuts in the fridge, no potential for cross-contamination with the ice cream itself. Recommend!”
