Ireland Nut-Free Travel Itinerary
Hi! I'm Lauren, my kids have peanut and tree nut allergies, and I went to Ireland for our summer vacation! Ireland requires that restaurants label menus for the top 14 allergens in each dish, which made it easy to scan menus to determine where there were risks. A highlight of my trip was driving the Dingle Peninsula, seeing the Cliffs of Moher, and exploring some amazing castles. My kids' favorite meal was the burger at The Spaniard (tied with the butterscotch ice cream at Murphy's)! Hi! My name is Allie, I manage peanut and tree nut allergies, and I spent 11 days in Italy for my honeymoon! Some of my favorite restaurants I went to were Braceria All'11 in Florence (we went twice it was so good!) and Midnight Sun Minori. At Midnight Sun Minori, we had the lemon pasta and the owner even sat down, talked, and drank wine with us! In between my allergy-friendly finds, I saw the Leaning Tower of Pisa, swam in the Mediterranean, took a ferry to Positano, and so much more! Hi, I’m Ashley! My wife and I just went on our 2 week honeymoon in Italy and I found some great spots in Venice, Florence, Rome, and Positano that accommodated celiac disease. Some highlights were Ramè Sushi, a dedicated gluten-free sushi restaurant; gluten-free pizza at La Soffita Renovatio, chocolate covered cream puffs at Bottega Artigiana Del Gusto, Oreo gelato at Fiocco Di Neve, and focaccia sandwiches at Sgrano! We also spent time at Tuscan Taste Florence for Chef Cary's celiac-safe, gluten-free cooking class, and took several tours.
