Coconut Glen’s Folly Beach

“Completely peanut-free/dairy-free coconut ice cream. They do use macadamia nut in one flavor, so if allergic to tree nuts, be aware of that! But they just opened in Folly Beach and have another really popular location in Hawaii!”

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams

“I asked for an allergy scoop, and the staff used a clean scoop and got it from a fresh tub! I got the coffee with cream and sugar, and it was delicious!”

The Pineapple Hut – Folly Beach

“My new favorite stop in Folly Beach!! They use the Vegan Pineapple Dole whip, and it’s so refreshing. You can order the whip in a pineapple, which is so unique! They had a sign saying they are nut-free, gluten-free, and vegan! Highly recommend after a long beach day!”

Off Track Ice Cream

“All the vegan options except one are made from a cashew base, so be careful with nut allergies, but I got vegan raspberry fudge, which was just made with coconut. They asked if it was an allergy, so they used a clean scooper and were extra careful.”

@morganromo, who manages tree nut, milk, mustard, and sunflower allergies

The Pineapple Hut

“Dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, and more pineapple soft serve (no nuts on menu/dedicated soft serve machines). Similar to Dole Whips from Disney, but with even fewer ingredients. Wonderful to find an allergy-friendly ice cream treat on a hot day in Charleston! All they serve is soft serve, pineapple, and a few toppings.”
