Nando’s Elephant & Castle

“The host at the door asked immediately when we entered if we had allergies. Since we did, they advised us to order at the till. Their online menu lists which Top-14 allergens are in their dishes. The manager at the till has that info on his tablet too, as well as a list of ingredients of each dish, which he showed us to accommodate the allergens we deal with that are outside top-14. The manager delivered the food to our table. The meals the kids ordered included allergy flags. One child had chicken, corn on the cob, and fries. (They were able to make the corn dairy-free by not applying the butter.) The other child had chicken, mashed peas, and broccoli. We have been multiple times! Food is great!”

“The menu uses Ingredifind, so you can scan a QR code on the menu and filter for common allergens or specific ingredients, which makes it really easy to adjust and avoid items. As far as sesame allergies go, there were loads of good options. Really, it was only the charcuterie that had ‘may contain’ labels.”

Fortnum & Mason

“Amazing high tea experience! So accommodating, and my desserts came out with a nut-free tag. The food and tea were amazing, and the staff was equally as amazing with allergies and service.”

Prezzo Italian Restaurant

“I had a plain margarita pizza here. As soon as we asked for a table the hostess asked us if there were any allergies. She then handed us a special that listed all possible allergens and which meals they were in clearly (she also gave us a regular menu). Very helpful and reassuring.”

Hobson’s Fish & Chips Charing Cross

“My son was able to enjoy his first fish and chips (with a side of onion rings)! They cook the gluten-free options in a separate fryer. The chef did a great job identifying ingredients and making us comfortable with ordering.”

Côte Hay’s Galleria

“The online menu is labeled for top-14. They also did a great job handling allergies beyond the top-14. The staff carry tablets that list all the ingredients of each dish. They brought the food out for the kids with allergy labels on it. Both kids had steak and fries. One kid had broccoli. The other had salad. They had raspberry sorbet for desert. Delicious food in a very safe environment. Made for a special night out along the Thames!”

Hawksmoor Air Street

“My son enjoyed a safe traditional Sunday Roast meal (everything but the Yorkshire pudding)! It was a great meal and the staff were very proactive. We emailed ahead of time and were told they could accommodate his multiple allergies in advance. Upon arrival we spoke with a manager who directly spoke with the lead chef and reconfirmed. They did note his allergens were present in the kitchen but that they would prep his meal in a separate area. Great experience!

Went back for a second meal on the same trip. Waiter was great and very helpful navigating the menu. My son was able to have scallops (modified to remove gluten), a steak, and French fries. He was very happy with his meal!”

Wagamama Covent Garden

Wagamama

“Very helpful and friendly staff. The manager took my order and brought out my food personally, but without making a performance out of it, or making me feel like an inconvenience. I’m not normally comfortable eating at Asian places bc of cross-contamination, but I felt very safe here.”

Byron

“The menu online can filter out any of the Top-14 allergens. They were also able to accommodate other allergens outside the Top-14. The meals for our kids with food allergies had allergy flags in them. One child had a beef burger, sweet potato fries, and a vegan chocolate shake. The other had a vegan cheeseburger and fries. Delicious food! Highly recommend for those with food allergies.”

Ole & Steen

“Really clear menu online listing out all allergens, and the waitstaff was patient and helped me look up the names of the items I was interested in to check them. I was a little nervous about sesame seeds because, in general, there are a lot of seeds in the breads, although seemingly only a couple items containing sesame. Had no issues after eating the chia roll. I noticed that for the nuts, they list individually which ones are contained, and a lot of nut-free items.”

Niche Gluten-free Dining

“This restaurant is 100% gluten, nut, and sesame-free. The menu is very clear about what allergens are present in the meals, and the waitstaff are very educated on the severity of allergies. The table shared the garlic and rosemary focaccia to start, and then I had the gnocchi. It was a very pleasant and relaxed experience knowing that I was safe eating here, as the whole facility does not use any of my allergens. Highly recommend!”

Borough 22 Selfridges

“Borough 22 Doughnuts is amazing, and I’m shocked no one has reviewed it already! It’s right inside of the Selfridges food hall.

They are a dedicated top-14 allergen-free donut shop. We were right around the corner from them and went almost every day. Sooo yummy.”

Zizzi

“We found this recommendation from Spokin. When we walked in, the server immediately asked about our allergies. We showed her our equal eats card and she noted every allergen in her app (including flours and nut oils) and confirmed that the margherita pizza was safe. The pizza was yummy, and it was a nice air-conditioned restaurant to cool off in after a hot day of sightseeing!”

The Langham, London

The Langham, London

“We had the MOST magical tea time experience at the Palm Court in The Langham. This place is phenomenal and utterly gorgeous! Karina, the director of food and beverage, was absolutely wonderful! I was emailing her the details of my kids’ allergies, and she was able to accommodate us. The food was simply amazing, and my kids were able to safely enjoy their first British tea experience, complete with scones! Highly recommend this place! When we return to London, I will definitely be visiting The Langham again! Bravo to superior service!”
