Locanda Locatelli
“Very well-trained and educated staff. Limited nuts on menu. Bread is made in-house with a guarantee of safety for consumption and was enjoyed by my tree nut allergic daughter. Excellent meal.”

Browns Covent Garden
“Had a lovely dinner here! The staff were amazing with checking ingredients and making sure dishes were safe for us! The food was prepared in their own area and dishes were accommodated to be prepared safely (sauces too!) Could not recommend this place enough.”

“I had a plain margarita pizza here. As soon as we asked for a table, the hostess asked us if there were any allergies. She then handed us a special that listed all possible allergens and which meals they were in clearly (she also gave us a regular menu). Very helpful and reassuring.”

“LOVED our meal here. It’s very elevated British/steakhouse food. They were so kind about allergies, and the restaurant is beautiful.”

Honest Burgers South Kensington
“Like other Honest Burger locations, they don’t use nuts and have a really good allergen menu online. I ate at multiple locations and had good experiences at all of them, good burgers and a good safe chain around England to know.”
@iank63, who manages peanut, tree nut, fruit, and coconut allergies

Pizza Express
“Staff asked if we had any allergies as we arrived, so it’s a clear protocol they have for guests. As the waitstaff took my order, he made talked me through the ingredients matrix and relayed the allergy info through to the kitchen. Came here with my wife and daughter, and it was a great experience.”
@nickappleyard, who manages peanut, tree nut, and coconut allergies

Din Tai Fung Covent Garden
“This place was amazing, food and service-wise! Before we ordered anything, the waitress asked if there were any allergies and was very knowledgeable about everything. Thankfully, none of my allergies were in anything here, so I was free to get anything I wanted. Everything tasted AMAZING! I will definitely be coming back here.”
@daphlevy, who manages tree nut allergies

Byron
“The menu online can filter out any of the Top 14 allergens. They were also able to accommodate other allergens outside Top 14. The meals for our kids with food allergies had allergy flags in them. One child had a beef burger, sweet potato fries, and vegan chocolate shake. The other had a vegan cheeseburger and fries. Delicious food! Highly recommend for those with food allergies.”

The Mayfair Chippy
“I had a great experience here! I simply asked the waiters for their most “classic” and well liked dish, which of course was the fish and chips with tartar sauce, mushed peas, and gravy. When I told them I had an allergy, the waiter assured me I would be okay, knowing exactly what kind of oil they used — vegetable — and they clearly had a protocol where the manager had to be the one to take the order for those with food allergies. I felt incredible taken care of and I loved my meal!! Would totally go back.”

Niche Gluten-free Dining
“This restaurant is 100% gluten, nut, and sesame-free. The menu is very clear about what allergens are present in the meals, and the waitstaff are very educated on the severity of allergies. The table shared the garlic and rosemary focaccia to start, and then I had the gnocchi. It was a very pleasant and relaxed experience knowing that I was safe eating here, as the whole facility does not use any of my allergens. Highly recommend!”

Hawksmoor Air Street
“My son enjoyed a safe traditional Sunday Roast meal (everything but the Yorkshire pudding)! It was a great meal and the staff were very proactive. We emailed ahead of time and were told they could accommodate his multiple allergies in advance. Upon arrival, we spoke with a manager who directly spoke with the lead chef and reconfirmed. They did note his allergens were present in the kitchen, but that they would prep his meal in a separate area. Great experience!
Went back for a second meal on the same trip. Waiter was great and very helpful navigating the menu. My son was able to have scallops (modified to remove gluten), a steak, and French fries. He was very happy with his meal!”

Blacklock
“I’ve been to Blacklock in the City and Covent Garden. Although they have nuts on the menus, the staff is great at understanding allergies and the anxiety around them. I’ve eaten here numerous times and had a great experience. They can’t guarantee the sauces are nut-free, but the meat is great.
They are also really understanding at the bar also.”
@alicehives, who manages peanut, tree nut, and coconut allergies

The Ned London
“The Ned is a hotel; however, it hosts multiple restaurants which are nut-free. The hotel and restaurants can’t guarantee guests haven’t brought nuts in, but can guarantee the kitchen is peanut and tree nut-free. I’ve eaten in Cecconi’s, Electric Bar & Diner, and Lutyens Grill numerous times and had a great experience and also amazing food. Highly recommend.
The bar is also nut-free, which is a bonus!”
@alicehives, who manages peanut, tree nut, and coconut allergies

Zizzi
“They had the allergen chart for the menu as a QR code, which shows whether it contains/may contain the top-14 allergens, as well as one that listed all the ingredients for some of the dishes. When I was ordering, the waiter pulled out a physical copy of the allergen menu to cross-reference with my Allergy Eats card to make sure that it was safe. They had a flower on the table that indicated that we had allergies, and my dish came out with an allergy sticker on it (another dish on the table had a sticker that let the staff know it was vegan). I was able to safely have the garlic bread and margarita pizza.”

Indigo at One Aldwych Restaurant
“The food here is on another level! This restaurant is completely gluten and dairy free and is certified by Coeliac U.K. They also handle my nut allergy very well and have a great understanding of allergies and cross-contamination. The menu is quite small but I loved the sound of each dish and wanted to try them all!”
@allergybubble, who manages celiac and peanut and tree nut allergies

The Wolseley
“This tea was out of this world! I got a whole tower of nut-free goodies, and my vegan friend got a vegan set as well. Not only that, but everything was delicious!
I definitely want to go back here next time in London for tea or a meal, the staff was fabulous too! I highly recommend!”

Borough 22 Selfridges
“Borough 22 Doughnuts is amazing, and I’m shocked no one has reviewed it already! It’s right inside of the Selfridges food hall.
They are a dedicated top-14 allergen-free donut shop
We were right around the corner from them and went almost every day
Sooo yummy.”
@kylie0215, who manages peanut, tree nut, fish, shellfish, sesame, and coconut allergies

Hard Rock Cafe
“They are very good about allergens here! The waiter had the manager come out and talk to me about what was safe. They do not have peanuts in the kitchen and do not cook with peanut oil; however, they cannot guarantee that there are no traces of peanuts in the bread since it is not made there.”
@amandajones03, who manages a peanut allergy

Bill’s Covent Garden Restaurant
“They have a helpful allergen menu online or as a QR code in their menu where you can filter your allergens. Our waitress also wrote down my allergies to share with the chef, and checked with them to make sure it would be safe. I was able to have the pancakes with berries and cream (I rarely am able to have breakfast at a restaurant, but they were able to make it safely), and I’ll definitely be going back later while I’m here.”
@labyrinth, who manages peanut, tree nut, soy, vegetable, and legume allergies

Fortnum & Mason
“Amazing high tea experience! So accommodating, and my desserts came out with a nut-free tag. The food and tea were amazing, and the staff was equally as amazing with allergies and service.”
@izzytri12, who manages tree nut, fish, and sesame allergies

Chiltern Firehouse
“A beautiful spot with outdoor seating and frequent celeb sightings— we saw Channing Tatum!! As soon as we sat down, they asked about allergies and assured me I could safely eat. I ordered the oysters, vodka tomato pizza, and club sandwich.”
@nycallergygal, who manages peanut, tree nut, fruit, and seed allergies

Wagamama
“I loved eating at Wagamama! The staff is super helpful, and the manager takes your order to double-check that there are no allergens in your meal. They use separate utensils in the kitchen for allergen-friendly meals. The second location I went to gave a warning that they cannot guarantee absolutely no cross-contamination, but everywhere I went in England had that disclaimer, and I personally felt safe here!”
