“Go here! This is my favorite place to go to, and I can not say enough good things about the owner. I was traveling to London and came across this place, and the owner is absolutely amazing.”

“They had the allergen chart for the menu as a QR code, which shows whether it contains/may contain the top 14 allergens, as well as one that listed all the ingredients for some of the dishes. When I was ordering, the waiter pulled out a physical copy of the allergen menu to cross-reference with my Allergy Eats card to make sure that it was safe. They had a flower on the table that indicated that we had allergies, and my dish came out with an allergy sticker on it (another dish on the table had a sticker that let the staff know it was vegan). I was able to safely have the garlic bread and margarita pizza.”

“They have a helpful allergen menu online or as a QR code in their menu where you can filter your allergens. Our waitress also wrote down my allergies to share with the chef, and checked with them to make sure it would be safe. I was able to have the pancakes with berries and cream (I rarely am able to have breakfast at a restaurant, but they were able to make it safely), and I’ll definitely be going back later while I’m here.”

Byron Hamburgers

“Seriously some of the best food allergy protocols we have seen anywhere in the world. Before we had even sat down, the ‘allergy champion’ asked if we had any food allergies. We were then handed a binder with 25 pages of food, all indexed across the Top 14 allergens, with vegan, vegetarian, and garlic. We would dine here again and seek out different locations. We recommend you try!”

Gujarati Rasoi

“This is a takeaway Indian place in Borough Market, London. All made from homemade recipes, so they know exactly what’s in everything, and use very little dairy. Very yummy! I had some kind of chickpea with greens, and it was delightful!”

Itsu

“What a find. Itsu has the most amazing menu, the best seen anywhere in the world. It lists the top 14 allergens, following the European Standard for declaring possible allergens. Disclaimers are positioned next to all food in the coolers. Food labeling on all packaged products is in a visible font with all allergens bolded.”

Cotto

“We went there multiple times, and both times were very pleasant. The owner took our orders and told us every detail about the menu. The pasta was made without dairy or egg, which was very helpful. They labeled my meals with a gluten-free sticker to clearly state which dish was mine. Not only was the restaurant very careful with me and my siblings’s allergies, they also made high-quality food. The gnocchi was cooked well, and the tomato sauce was perfectly savory and complemented the gnocchi very well. If I ever have the chance to go back to London, I will definitely go back to Cotto.”
