EAT

Craft Kafe

“This restaurant is dedicated gluten-free and the staff is super knowledgeable of their menu items. I ended up ordering the quiche and they double-checked the ingredient booklet to make sure the crust did not contain tree nuts. Menu was filled with healthy options and would definitely eat here again!”

Doc Ford’s Rum Bar and Grille St. Pete Pier

“Great views. Got to enjoy fish tacos and rice with beans. Food was great, and staff was knowledgeable and when my food came out it was identified as an allergy plate.”

BellaBrava

“Our servers at this restaurant were amazing. They were so knowledgeable with the menu that it made the experience stress free. With the whole sesame flour they did recommend staying away from the bread because they were unsure. The food was delicious and service was great!”

Hawkers Asian Street Food

“Highly recommend this place when in town! When the server comes to your table the first thing they ask is if anyone in the party has any food allergies. Every server has a list that states every allergen in every item. The food is delicious and great atmosphere.”

Taverna Costale

“Ordered the avocado toast—I was able to switch out the bread to a gluten-free bread option! I informed our wait staff that I had a tree nut allergy as well, and they assured me there was no cross-contact with my meal. Our food was delicious! The wait staff was very empathetic of my allergies and triple-checked everything. I felt very comfortable eating here.”

Casita Taqueria

“I emailed with Don via the email on their website—no peanuts in the kitchens at any of their three locations; no peanut oil or peanut ingredients used and never have been. Their mole is peanut-free, and really tasty! Will be going back and trying to other locations around St. Pete! Email them yourself beforehand about your allergens to be safe.”

Love Food Central

“This restaurant is great for those interested in a more slow food movement type of restaurant. Because of this, the staff was knowledgeable about what was in their foods. Lots of gluten-free and vegan options. They try to source locally and use organic non-GMO foods.”

Paul’s Landing

“I’ve been here twice for brunch. Informed me that they have a protocol for allergies, and that my meal would be made separately in the kitchen.”
@schmandz who manages tree nut and sesame allergies

Spa Beach Bistro

“By far the best cauliflower crust option in the area. Quality ingredients.”
@apatch who manages celiac and a dairy allergy

Cider Press Vegan GastroPub

“Dedicated vegan kitchen. Delicious starters: fried pickles, cauliflower wings, soft pretzel, and dairy free ranch!”
@rubyred07 who manages milk and fish allergies

ALSACE French Bistro

“I am a regular to this restaurant, and I have never had an issue with allergens. There are tree nuts on the menu, but the staff is very careful to remind the chefs and I stay away from those items. I don’t typically order any desert out, but this is one of a handful of restaurants were I feel comfortable enough to do so!”
@julianat who manages tree nut and shellfish allergies

Pete’s Bagels

“I got a sesame bagel with egg and cheese and it was so good! I told them I had a peanut allergy and they put a note on my order and put on new gloves when preparing my order!”
@liarw who manages peanut and tree nut allergies

Birch & Vine

“Menu items listed which items were gluten-free. We ordered two appetizers for the table and the waiter was able to make the one option (Korean street corn) gluten and nut-free. I ordered the salmon and the wait staff accidentally gave my allergy dish to another table. I was thankful they realized it and were honest, which made me feel that my meal would be extra safe. They brought out a gluten-free soup (on the house) so i could eat when the rest of the table also started eating which I appreciated! Would definitely go back!”

Parkshore Grill

“Came here for the first time after emailing them to inquire about food allergies. Informed me they have a scratch kitchen so allergens could be accommodated. Server clarified my allergies and double checked each meal with the kitchen. Ordered the grilled oysters, scallops, and lobster pasta—all delicious and safe!”
@schmandz who manages tree nut and sesame allergies

MAXI ARTISANAL EMPANADAS

“GLUTEN-FREE EMPANADAS! Empanadas are made with corn tortillas—everything is homemade in house! There are different fillings to choose from and sides such as french fries. There is no gluten in any of the dishes, so there is no chance of cross contact (even with the fryer!). I ordered the Buffalo chicken and the steak, and confirmed there were no nuts (I don’t believe there were any nuts on the menu either). This is a food truck usually set up next to Fergs—so be sure not to miss it!”

Naked Farmer

“Great fast casual spot. Talked to the manager/chef before ordering. Menu listed allergens next to item. It was similar to a chipotle where you could make your own veggie/protein bowl. The manager said each dish was prepared separately so there was no chance of cross-contact. Enjoyed the food and would definitely go back!”

Rollbotto

“This was a Chipotle style build-your-own sushi rolls, or choose from a set menu. They changed the cutting board, utensils and gloves out for my daughter. It was fun being able to customize and build our own rolls. They had vegan options too! We ate here safely and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Honestly the only nuts I saw on the menu was coconut, everything tasted great. Would definitely come back here again.”

Sōl St. Pete Bistro

“This place is AMAZING—cedicated to gluten-free, farm-to-table, scratch bistro, vegan and carnivore, organic, locally sourced, allergen-free experience! Has it all. Food was delicious. We started with a cup of the French onion soup (with gluten-free bread!), then had the tuna steak with “nut free pesto.” And even ended with banana bread (dessert is rare for me)! Can’t say enough good things about my experience. Keep in mind, this is an intimate restaurant where they slow cook their food from scratch—it’s not a fast dining experience. We were there for over 2 hours! We will be back”
