La Pérouse
Location: Nice, France
“Before my friends and I stayed here, I emailed the hotel to ensure I could safely eat there. On past trips we usually like to have breakfast at our hotel before starting our day, so I wanted to be certain I could do so. They responded back saying they have made a note of it and there won’t be a problem. Upon arrival the staff was extremely welcoming — the type you knew you could go to with anything you needed assistance with. Breakfast is a buffet, along with eggs made to order. There was no shellfish included for breakfast which made things easy for me. My friend who is gluten intolerant was able to have enough to eat at breakfast, despite France loving their gluten! This hotel was a great home base for us — comfortable, safe to eat at, and a great location with friendly and helpful staff.”

Le Plongeoir

“I had so many people recommend this restaurant to me before coming to Nice. Now I’ll be one of those people. Not only is it a fantastic location with incredible views, they were great with allergies! Our server was great — really nice, accommodating (when me and my one friend got bread service he brought gluten-free bread for our other friend who’s intolerant), and knowledgeable. He ensured the kitchen would know of my shellfish allergy and my friend’s gluten intolerance. That was confirmed when he came back to talk to my friend about her sea bream dish garnish that contained gluten, and if she would like it replaced with vegetables. We started with the fried zucchini flowers (not gluten-free), the tuna sashimi, and Burratina. I had the truffle rigatoni and tried some of my friends sea bass. Both were excellent. It’s definitely on the pricier side given the location, but it was a great experience!”

Bocca Nissa
Location: Nice, France
“Such a cute rooftop at this restaurant! Our server was great, he was super helpful and appreciated the allergy card I had on hand so he could bring it to the kitchen. Currently no shellfish on the menu is fried, so I didn’t have to worry about cross-contamination there, which was nice! It’s a tapas restaurant so we shared pimientos, Croquettes (my friend who is gluten intolerant was not able to have these), hummus (they ran out of gluten-free bread, so they brought some vegetables for my gluten intolerant friend since she couldn’t have the pita), Crémeux de Chèvre, Haricots Verts and Stracciatella (I personally would pass on this in the future but both my friends liked it), and Côte de Boeuf (this was large and came with lots of potatoes, carrots, and zucchini). I definitely would go back here!”

Restaurant Baba
Location: Antibes, France
“We came here for the beach, as well as for lunch. Such a great atmosphere and everyone is extremely friendly. They have a separate list for all the allergens which was helpful, though you need to inquire about cross-contamination. I wasn’t able to have anything in the fryer based on that, but I’m used to it. I had their risotto which was perfect for a sunny day, nice, light, and delicious. My friend who is gluten intolerant had their Cleopatra Salad, and enjoyed it. Their cocktails, juices, and mocktails were also good!”

Aux Cocottes
Location: Paris, France
“Had a wonderful dinner at Aux Cocottes. The restaurant is cozy, the people are welcoming, and the food was great! I ate there with a friend that can’t have gluten and they were able to accommodate both, my shellfish allergy and the gluten intolerance. Our server was confident and knowledgeable and communicated quickly with the kitchen to ensure our food was safe. I had the mushroom gnocchi and my friend had the cod. For dessert we had the chocolate lava cake which was gluten-free! Will definitely be coming back here. Added bonuses: a cat “works” there and it’s close to the Eiffel Tower so you can walk past it at night, time leaving the restaurant right and you can watch it sparkle!”

Marius Monaco
Location: Monaco, Monaco
“I had such an incredible meal here. Usually where we were sat, we would have a view of the marina, but everyone was getting ready for the yacht show so there were a bunch of tents blocking that—still was a nice atmosphere though. Our server was confident and knowledgeable so I felt safe every step of the way. We shared a tomato appetizer that tasted so fresh and was bursting with flavor. I got the beef tenderloin with Béarnaise that came with vegetables and a creamy polenta. It was a lot more food than I was expecting, and all of it was delicious, I wish I could’ve finished it all! I 100% recommend dining here if you’re in the area. Also, apparently if you have a dinner reservation Thursday-Saturday, you can schedule a classic car to shuttle you to your dinner! So cool!”
