Beachouse Ibiza
Location: Sant Jordi de ses Salines, Spain
“The food at Beachouse Ibiza was fantastic, the menu had a good variety of options, and I was able to track down their allergen guide (which had an English version). With a ‘beach club’ like this, you might expect a certain level of urgency from the waitstaff, but as soon as they heard that I had food allergies, they took their time understanding me and then communicating everything with the kitchen. This is a great place with a good mix of relaxing vibes (definitely family-friendly as well).”
Coppola
Location: Port d’Andratx, Spain
“Easy to navigate allergen guide (available via QR code) at this waterfront pizza spot! There are plenty of restaurants in the Port d’Andratx marina, but this one was receptive & understanding of my food allergies and it made the ultimate difference! The Hugo spritz here is worth trying as well. Perfect al-fresco vibe for a sunny day!”
Finca La Plaza
Location: Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera, Spain
“The village of Santa Gertrudis is a must if you want to see a quieter side of Ibiza — and Finca La Plaza is by far the best restaurant there! The staff here is hyper-vigilant and well-informed, and the dishes showcase simple (but very well executed) Spanish cuisine.”
Ibiza Gran Hotel
Location: Eivissa, Spain
“It’s hard to put the offering of this hotel into words! The location, on-site restaurants, spa, hydrotherapy circuit, custom artwork, and overall guest experience at Ibiza Gran Hotel cannot be beat anywhere else on the island. The guest-facing staff here speaks English, understands each dining concept, and at the pool bar and restaurant, the waiters and kitchen were very accommodating of my food allergies. A couple of the other (third-party) dining outlets here blew me away as well! If you stay here, you should absolutely indulge in the ‘Grand Breakfast’ which is unlike any breakfast buffet I’ve seen elsewhere — think hand-carved jamon, chocolate fondue, a crepe station, etc. There weren’t any clear labels on the breakfast foods, but if you ask for a manager, they’ll walk you through the entire thing and tell you what you can and cannot try!”
La Gaia by Óscar Molina
Location: Eivissa, Spain
“If you’re looking for something A) on the higher-end side and B) that will allow you to explore different ingredients, presentations, and culinary techniques — La Gaia by Oscar Molina is for you. This is a truly ‘experiential’ restaurant, meaning your group will be the only one sat at a specific time, you’ll move through a few different ‘stations’ before sitting down, and the entire tasting menu is 18 courses. I loved how the tasting menu wasn’t rigid; the kitchen was able to adapt all of their dishes to my needs and the waitstaff fully explained what ingredients were used in each course. Even without food allergies, this is the kind of meal that you’ll remember for a long time, and the customization and thought that went into each of my courses made it all the more special! I would just say, if you do have allergies, definitely let the team know with as much notice as possible. They had a month or so to prepare for me, which likely factored into my experience.”
Santina
Location: Palma, Spain
“Great lunch spot in the luxe Puerto Portals yacht harbor in Mallorca! The staff here were friendly, over-communicative, and overall made this is super easy and positive experience. Plus, the menu here is formatted like a magazine with a ton of unique recommendations for sights & activities nearby.”
Zafiro Palace Andratx
Location: Camp de Mar, Spain
“There’s nothing that the concierges at this hotel can’t do. If you tell them about your allergies pre-arrival, they will take care of the rest — letting the staff at all on-site restaurants and the spa know, calling other restaurants in the area for you, making thoughtful suggestions as to where you should eat, and more. I would order a drink at the pool bar and tell the bartender my name and room number, and they would confirm that none of my allergens were present in the drink. Each room in this all-suite hotel has a mini-bar with enough space to store food if needed, but honestly (especially if you do the all-inclusive option) you won’t need it. There are several on-site restaurants where I enjoyed safe meals – Mare Nostrum, La Veranda, Tastes & Suhsi, and Caliu Steakhouse – and each one clearly understood my allergies and was able to modify their dishes for me. The breakfast buffet here is incredibly robust, and top allergens are labeled on each buffet item (huge!) This location is unbeatable, it’s in a quieter area of the island with both mountain and sea views — but you also can get into Palma by car in 15 – 20 minutes.”
Zuma Ibiza
Location: Eivissa, Spain
“As someone who’s allergic to all seafood, sesame, and peanuts, eating any form of sushi is impossible; or so I thought— until I ate at Zuma Ibiza. I was so well taken-care of from start to finish here, and the chef created a special sushi roll made specifically for me, it was my first ever. I can’t recommend this place enough! I will say that (like most of Ibiza) this place is super sceney, but it didn’t stop the waitstaff from taking their time to make sure they fully understood what my allergies were & how to accommodate. Gorgeous view and interior! You’ll definitely see a celebrity or two here as well.”
