“I had the curly fries and for drinks we got the tiny tanq smash party pitcher (gin cocktail) and the coffee shop tree (espresso martinis). The waitress was great about my allergies as she confirmed them with the kitchen. The fries were so good, some of the best I’ve had. And the drinks were super fun in how they were presented I definitely recommend.”

“Great place to eat poutine in downtown Vancouver with a small menu. The menu doesn’t list any nuts and the staff I talked to wasn’t able to confirm that nuts aren’t used. All the fries are fried in canola oil. I ordered the classic poutine with no issues.”

“Wonderful Japanese restaurant! Not only is the food amazing, but the staff were great as well. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about ingredients and made sure to note the allergy even though there weren’t any nuts in any of the dishes on the main menu. We didn’t order dessert, but I think it would be safe to do so!”

11. Nightingale
“Nightingale is an excellent restaurant for people who suffer from allergies. The waitstaff is super knowledgeable and every time I come here I tell them my allergies and they take the menu and cross off everything that I’m allergic to and can’t order. This makes it really easy for me to choose what to order. This time we got the Kennebec fries with ketchup powder (so good!), the apple salad, the ravioli and the cauliflower. If you haven’t visited this restaurant you have to. Such good quality food, beautiful decor and great staff.”

“Online menu is labeled if a food has nuts and if it’s dairy and/or gluten-free. Very few items have nuts listed. No space to specify food allergies online so I called them to order pickup. “I have gone to the Anatoli twice and both times they have been very helpful with food allergies and restrictions. Recently, my friend and I ordered the Dolmathes and a Souvlaki platter. Both are completely gluten-free. My friend is off dairy and they accommodated her by substituting rice on the platter because the potatoes had dairy. The restaurant is safe for me because it doesn’t use hazelnuts or peanuts.”
