“The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel offers an à la carte breakfast and has a restaurant on site. We didn’t have a chance to eat at the hotel during our stay, but they offer gluten-free options according to their website. The hotel also has a rooftop bar with incredible views overlooking the Roman ruins, which is perfect for happy hour! There is also a mini-fridge in the hotel rooms if you want to store drinks and snacks.”

Lunch: Pizza in Trevi
“We ate here for lunch several times while touring Rome and loved it every time! It’s in a prime location right around the corner from the Trevi Fountain. We went right when they opened for lunch and we didn’t have to wait for a table, but I would imagine it gets busier for dinner. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating to my gluten-free needs, which they took very seriously. This restaurant is accredited by the Italian Celiac Association, and I felt very safe eating here even though they also serve gluten-containing food. Upon arrival, they switched out my placemat to indicate I was gluten-free, provided utensils that were wrapped separately and gave me a different color water glass. They were careful to avoid cross-contact with my meal and even prepared the gluten-free pizzas in a separate kitchen! The pizzas tasted delicious and the pizza crust was so light and fluffy”
