Cabo Celiac-Safe Travel Itinerary

Hi! My name is Caitlin, and I have celiac. My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Cabo at the Esperanza, Auberge Resort. We ate on the property at their four restaurants and my favorite was Cocina Del Mar- the atmosphere was so romantic and beautiful! We even had our own concierge throughout our stay who was available to help us make plans and reservations! Esperanza, Auberge Resorts Collection

“Truly the most amazing resort I’ve ever stayed in! My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and had the best experience at a hotel EVER. The service is unmatched. We had a personal concierge our whole stay that could be easily contacted through texts that made our plans and reservations seamless. There are four restaurants on the property that are delicious and accommodating for celiac disease. The views are incredible. It is located right on the water and the sunrise is absolutely unreal. The details such as flower petals placed throughout our room and candles lit every night were so lovely to come back to. I highly recommend splurging on Esperanza. In my opinion, it was worth every penny!”

Cocina del Mar

“The most beautiful restaurant at the resort right on the water. You hear the waves crashing as you eat and it is just truly a great dining experience. We are here for breakfast every morning (which was included in our stay). The breakfast spread is UNREAL with so many options. You also have the choice to choose any menu item. By the second day the staff remembered me and had gluten-free bread ready each morning. The dinner here is delectable. Many seafood options that were safe for me. Very fresh food. They brought out ice pops for us to celebrate our honey moon on our first night which was very sweet.”

La Palapa

“A casual restaurant at the resort that is right next to one of the pools. We had lunch here often and it was delicious. The fajitas and the guac and chips were my favorites here (and they don’t skimp out on the food!). Staff was very knowledgeable on gluten-free menu items and ensured my food was prepared safely. They do ‘themed’ nights here as well that are buffet style. There were plenty of gluten-free options and staff serving the buffet food was knowledgeable or were able to get a manager when I had questions.“

Terraza Americana

“A quick, laid back restaurant at Esperanza that serves hearty salads, tacos, and sandwiches. The salads are delicious and refreshing. I really love the sirloin tacos!“

Las Estrellas

“This restaurant is on the side of the resort where the owners of the villas reside but is easily accessible by staff-driven golf carts. We dined here for lunch one day and shared a gluten-free pizza that was delicious. It was prepared on its own pan. We also dined here for dinner one night and enjoyed a meal that was a more ‘American’ style. I had a gluten-free pasta dish that was excellent.”
