The Salt Cafe
“This restaurant was close to the Taj Mahal and I went here after a long day of walking around! The vibe was fun, the bathrooms were clean, and the food was delicious! There was so much naturally gluten-free, but the waiters were a bit confused about the term and I did have to go to find a chef who spoke English to be confident eating. The tandoori chicken is amazing and so was the daal. Easy place to go after the Taj Mahal!”
House of Ming
“The menu is fully marked for the top 14 allergens. There is at least one option to choose from in each section. The ginger chicken was gluten-free and it was not my favorite, but everyone at my table loved it so I think that it is just personal preference. What I adored was the gluten-free pumpkin soup! It is divine and a MUST. The waiters are helpful with allergies and contamination so even though the allergens are listed still be sure to mention.”
Hyatt Regency Jaipur Mansarovar
“GORGEOUS hotel that makes you feel as though you are in a palace! There is complimentary breakfast with delicious made-to-order options that they make gluten-free! They had rice pudding, uttapam, and idli that they made gf. The waiters were kind, but did not speak too much English so I did need to verify with managers as their menus were not always marked.”
Indian Accent
“Some of the best Indian food I have ever had! They put a modern twist on traditional dishes/ingredients and are very clear about all allergens. I did the vegetarian tasting menu and they were able to make it completely egg and gluten-free. They had gluten-free naan and allergy friendly alternatives for every component. Highly recommend! Definitely deserving of their rating as best restaurant in New Delhi.”
Qatar Airlines
“I flew in the QSuites from LAX to DOHA and had an excellent, safe time! There were a few gluten-free snacks to choose from such as nuts or chips and they brought me 3 gluten-free meals throughout the flight with many options. They even brought me a gluten-free bread roll. The chicken with yellow curry was delicious. Be careful- the attendant warned me that the cocoa powder on the cappucinos has gluten, so be sure they do not forget that if you order one. They even gave me gluten-free diptyque products! They were very careful with my allergy and with contamination. I recommend.”
Taj Mahal Hotel
“Every restaurant has top 14 allergens clearly marked along with vegetarian/vegan options. They had air filters in the vents so it was a nice break from the air quality outside of New Delhi. Also, they gave out unlimited free water bottles (which did not happen at every hotel!!) The club level has a happy hour with a few gluten-free pastries and if you ask, they will make you some to accomodate allergens. They also have delicious lattes, teas, and iced coffees using gluten-free syrups.”
Varq
“A tasty restaurant with a clearly marked menu. They have a lot of options and all top 9 allergens marked throughout. They even had gluten-free naan and are very careful about contamination.”
