Wheat-Free Bali, Indonesia Travel Itinerary

Hi! I’m Alex from Miami Beach, and I manage a wheat allergy. I went to Southeast Asia for the holidays and spent New Year’s in Bali! It was a quick trip, but I was blown away by the beautiful views, the sweetest fresh fruit, and many places that were knowledgeable about allergies, which were harder to find in other places around Southeast Asia. Atlas Beach Club

“Massive beach club that is supposedly the largest in the world! We celebrated new years here and had a blast. The menu is not marked and didn’t seem like it had a ton of gluten-free options but our waiter was able to help me navigate it and I ended up having one of the most delicious meals of my trip, to my surprise. Very fun place if you’re looking for a Bali beach/pool party.”

Mana Uluwatu Restaurant & Bar

“Beautiful restaurant with an organic, farm to table vibe. The waitress was super knowledgeable about what I could and couldn’t have on the menu. They have a ton of gluten-free options clearly marked. Everything was delicious and the views and vibes were gorgeous.”

Single Fin Bali

“Beautiful restaurant and bar that is famous for sunset and Sunday parties. The atmosphere is crowded and lively. They have a gluten-free marked menu but upon asking more questions, the gluten-free marked options were basically super stripped down, sauceless and basic versions of the dish. I ended up having to just do a Greek salad. The cocktails however are great and it’s a gorgeous place to watch the sunset!”

Suka Espresso

“This place is a gem! Wished I could have gone multiple times. They have the best gluten-free bread I’ve ever had. Highly recommend for a breakfast in Uluwatu.”

Ulu Cliffhouse

“Gorgeous beach club vibe with stunning views of the ocean. Great place for cocktails or to get a daybed for the day. I didn’t eat there but I saw they have a gluten-free marked menu which is always nice to see!”

Savaya Bali

“The coolest day club I have ever been to!! It sits on the edge of a cliff with a center bar that juts out over the ocean. Such a fun place to catch a show. They do offer some food and I was able to get some gluten-free tacos but the options are extremely limited.”
