EAT

1. John Scott’s Surf Shack

Location: Westhampton Beach

“Love this place! It’s bar vibes with live music and a great sunset, but the food happens to be great as well! No nuts or sesame here.”

@izzytri12 who manages tree nut, salmon, and sesame allergies

2. South Edison

Location: Montauk

“This place is amazing. Almost everything is gluten-free and they are wonderful with nuts. Had calamari for the first time here since my diagnosis and it was delicious! The staff knew about cross contamination and told me to not eat dessert since it is made on shared equipment. Would 100% recommend.”

3. Lobster Roll Southampton

Location: Southampton

“This place a must if you’re ever going out east! Original location is in Amagansett, but they just opened this one right off of Montauk Highway in Southampton so it’s a great pit stop if you’re headed further out. They have a dedicated gluten-free fryer/toaster and a separate gluten-free menu! The lobster salad roll with french fries is my go-to order here.”

@getmovingluten who manages celiac and a milk allergy

4. Sagtown Coffee

Location: Sag Harbor

“Got a nice peach iced tea here! Super cute place with great drink options as well as food. I told them I was gluten-free and nut-free and they knew that the teas were completely fine.”

@nutsfornogluten who manages celiac and peanut and tree nut allergies

5. Harvest on Fort Pond

Location: Montauk

“We eat here all the time but used to bring our own food for the kids. However, we have been lucky with several options when we told the staff to be careful. They have let the cooks know in the back and we haven’t had any issues. The mussels and salmon are a favorite with my kids.”

@glutenfreewith3 who manages celiac and almond, avocado, and fruit allergies

6. Coche Comedor

Location: Amagansett

“Amazing tacos, corn tortilla option. Gluten-free safe.”

@jmurphy who manages celiac and tree nut, milk, soy, wheat, vegetable, and fruit allergies

7. The Patio

Location: Westhampton Beach

“LOVE this place! If you are not allergic, HIGHLY recommend the house made pappardelle with steak ragu. So so good. No peanuts on the menu, but they do have some tree nuts in their salads. Very helpful staff!”

@brookeblumberg who manages peanut and tree nut allergies

8. Cittanuova

Location: East Hampton

“Recently came here for lunch. Menu has an allergen statement at the bottom, and noted they have a shared fryer. Had linguine and clams, which were delicious. Server included allergies on my ticket.”

@schmandz who manages tree nut and sesame allergies

9. Loaves & Fishes Food Store

Location: Sagaponack

“The prices are ridiculous but food was amazing. For example, the lobster salad was so yummy, but at $100 per pound, it is definitely a delicacy. Salmon was also very tasty, but $48 per pound—crazy! The woman serving was not familiar or the nicest with my allergen questions, but all the items that would seem gluten-free were.”

@sydarrandt who manages celiac and a milk allergy

10. Almond

Location: Bridgehampton

“Love this restaurant. The owner was so nice! They were behind on our reservation and the owner sent over a seafood platter just because of that. But first he asked if we had any allergies! I had the street corn and steak frites—minus the frites because they let me know they were not made in a dedicated fryer. The kimchi rice was also one of my favorites and oysters were some of the best I’ve had. Great restaurant with even better staff!”

13. Dockers Waterside Marina & Restaurant

Location: East Quogue

“Dockers is an amazing place that sits on the water. However, I had one experience here where they wouldn’t modify the sesame crusted tuna to make it without. I think I just had a very busy and careless waiter. I was able to find other things that night. However, every other time, the staff has been so consistent and helpful. I get simply grilled tuna and it comes out amazing! Also, the lobster roll is great! Def a great spot, but beware of the occasional bad waiter!”

@izzytri12 who manages tree nut, salmon, and sesame allergies

18. Sag Pizza

Location: Sag Harbor

“This place is such a good find! The pizzas are so good and they offer gluten-free dough for all of the options. Not 100% sure it’s celiac-safe, but I didn’t feel sick at all after eating and I know many of my celiac friends were fine here as well. The pizza is delicious and it’s nice to have a greasy slice of pepperoni after all this time.”

@nutsfornogluten who manages celiac and peanut and tree nut allergies

27. Amber Waves Farm, Market & Cafe

@nutsfornogluten who manages celiac and peanut and tree nut allergies

28. Doubles

Location: Amagansett

“Delicious Caribbean food! They have lots of gluten-free options, like getting curries over rice instead of in rotis and salad bowls. The ice cream here is also super cool, as it has very exotic flavors like Pandan or Coconut (being Vietnamese I was surprised they would have pandan!). Excited for next year to see what they add to the menu.”

@nutsfornogluten who manages celiac and peanut and tree nut allergies

@user2022 who manages tree nut, sesame, and banana allergies
