ARIZONA

Intentional Foods

Location: Mesa, Arizona

“My son had the chicken strips and fries here. We visited in August 2024 and drove all the way from Phoenix while visiting my aunt, so a little while ago and I don’t remember what I had, but my son very much enjoyed being able to pick from almost everything on the menu. He’s very predictable and only 5 at the time so he picked chicken and fries. Afterward he was able to eat a donut, something he’s never been able to eat before. The staff were lovely and patient with all my questions and we had a fantastic meal. Will definitely be visiting again in the future!

You tell them you have an allergy at the order station and they call someone over to assist you and go through the allergy binder with you. I’m shellfish/fish- They don’t have any kind of seafood food items here. So I was good to order from the regular menu. My peanut and tree nut-allergic son. He was able to order off the regular menu also. The only nuts they have are Uncrustables. My son with peanut, tree nut, egg, dairy, and tomato allergies ordered chicken nuggets and French fries.”

Wingstop

Location: Jacksonville, Florida

“I usually don’t feel like cooking(lol), but with a child with severe FA, it’s frightening to eat out or order take out. Wingstop is one place we frequent a lot! They post their allergens right on their website and we haven’t had any issues with Wingstop. Our favorite ( little on the spicy side ) is the Louisiana Dry Rub extra well done. Sooooo good! Reagan loves their chicken tenders, French fries and fried corn AND they are on DoorDash. After work, I also don’t feel like going to pick up the food, so DoorDash is a major plus!”

Allegory

Location: Naperville, Illinois

“We have eaten here several times and the staff and food are consistently amazing! The menu is innovative and roasted seasonally. The drink menu is also great! The staff takes our children’s allergies very seriously and triple checks allergens with the chef and packaging (pasta) before putting in our order. We typically order chicken tenders and buttered noodles for the kids, but most of the menu is accommodating. We ordered the mussels and the short ribs the last time we dined here and both of these dishes didn’t contain any nuts. The coleslaw for the short ribs can be substituted or put on the side for anyone with egg allergies bc it contains mayo. 1000% recommend. Allegory is our go-to!”

Stable Cafe

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

“Wonderful place!! Didn’t notice on the website but when you let the waiter know about Food Allergy, she immediately call the Chef to the table. (There is a * at the bottom of the menu that mentions about food allergy/dietary restrictions… the Chef will come by the table to talk to you). Everyone enjoyed a yummy simple lunch. My kids were so happy to be able to enjoy their yummy lunch. (For our allergy, we have the options for burger OR chicken tenders with fries or chips and a fruit. They use canola oil to fry fries and chips. Burger was safe. No egg or egg wash in Chicken tender and burger buns. (Caution!! Chef mentioned that chicken tender was not made from in house so he has to verify to make sure is safe. Suppliers might change in the future, so always ask to be safe). Also, we were lucky with the timing of our Biltmore Estate tour and finished 10 minutes before the Stable’s Cafe open and lucky to get a table. I would definitely make a reservation next time for sure. They fill up fast!!”
