“One of the most fun activities/meals we had in Nashville. This Italian restaurant has a 10 course meal that they serve on weekends. They play the Godfather and there’s singing and dancing and so much fun. The entire menu can be made gluten-free, including the focaccia. This place was so fantastic!”

4. Greenery Co.
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
“Gluten-free and nut-free build your own salad at Greenery Co. This place is great with allergies, as they use new utensils and bowls to limit cross-contamination. I get mine tossed only just to limit cross-contamination. They also have a lot of great gluten-free options, like breaded chicken that is gluten-free! You can make your own bowl or choose one of the pre-made selections. They do have cashews in one of the dressings, but with how they deal with allergies, I feel safe eating here.”

8. Etch
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
“I called a few days before and spoke to a manager about my allergies. She recommended several dishes that were appropriate for my allergies. I also added a note to my reservation about my allergies. They do prepare foods with major allergens in their kitchen, but are very allergy-knowledgeable and do what they can to prevent cross-contamination. When I arrived, my server was already aware of all of my allergies and knew (in detail) what my meal options were. I had a wonderful meal with no reactions and everyone was knowledgeable and helpful. I will definitely be back!”

9. Butcher & Bee
Location: Nashville
“Gluten-free and nut-free flat out amazing food. This restaurant has some of the best tasting and most unique flavors I have had in Nashville, combining Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and Southern all in one. While they have nuts/gluten on the menu, they are FANTASTIC with allergies, as that’s what the server asks as soon as they come to your table. The menu rotates every night, but you have to get the whipped feta, the avocado crispy rice, and the bacon wrapped dates. Overall, unbelievable meal.”

“I was so impressed by our waiter’s knowledge of Celiac and cross-contact. The staff is clearly very well trained. This was the first time I had a restaurant burger and fries since my diagnosis, and they were great! Our waiter even pointed out that my gluten-free bun clearly looked different than my parents’ regular buns.”

13. Jack’s Bar-B-Que
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
“I was blown away by how awesome this place was for celiac customers. I was mortified when I walked in and saw the guy chopping bread on the same cutting board as the meat. I walked up to the counter and told the guy I have a “gluten allergy-celiac”. He smiled and said, “I got you”. He removed his gloves that had gluten all over them, went to the kitchen, and came back with a new cutting board, knife, and brisket to slice for me. Almost all of their sides are gluten-free as well. I currently cannot handle the BBQ sauce because of indigestion, but their sauces are gluten-free. No reactions from the food I ate. I will definitely be back.”

14. City House
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
“Our server was incredibly knowledgeable, marked which items were Celiac-safe for me on the menu, and took the extra step to talk to the kitchen about it. Most of the appetizers are naturally gluten-free. They had a gluten-free dessert, too! Absolutely delicious.”

16. Doughbird
Location: Nashville, Tennesse
“Gluten-free and nut-free rotisserie chicken and pizza! From the group that brought you Blanco, this restaurant is a fantastic concept of sharing all types of chicken and pizza, all with so many dipping sauces! The gluten-free pizza crust is so fluffy (combination of corn and potato flours), and the chicken is fantastic dipped in all sauces (all but one of the sauces are gluten/nut-free). All of the sides are also fantastic! You have to try the honey mustard and copy cane sauces. There were pistachios on one of the pizzas, but they handled it!”

17. Sixty Vines
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
“Fantastic dinner spot in downtown Nashville directly across the street from the Ryman theater. Everything can be made gluten-free including their cauliflower crust pizza made in its own oven. Dedicated fryer for their fried chicken that’s served with caviar and is insanely good. We also opted for the cheesecake and the fig/prosciutto pizza. The server showed us how the hand held order devices have options to note GLUTEN ALLERGY when he entered our order for the kitchen. I’ve heard one of the owners has celiac and that’s why they’re so good but can’t confirm.”

18. Milk & Honey Gulch
Location: Nashville, Tennesse
“If you have food allergies, I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant! The service is excellent, thorough, and accommodating. Their protocol is clear and both times I went they had a manager come over to my table. The 1st day, the manager helped me pick out something I could and went back and forth from the chef/kitchen staff to discuss, confirm ingredients, etc. She advised that they do have nuts in their kitchen, but those areas are wiped down after use and the only cross-contamination would be direct contact. I was advised that the kitchen would know I have allergies. I got the Hodgepodge Hash without the caramelized onions and chipotle crema. I felt SAFE and taken care of and I felt happy about being able to participate in a Nashville staple.”

19. Two Hands
Location: Nashville
“Two Hands is the best new restaurant on the Nashville scene! They had every dish on the menu marked whether it was dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, or contained nuts. Even when I had a question on a particular item, (whether or not the vegan chocolate had any nuts in it), our waiter went back and checked and informed me that he checked with the chef that it was safe. Everything listed was gluten-free and nut-free: jalapeño fritters, aperol cured salmon, market fish, brussel sprouts, pavlova, and chocolate gelato. The highlights were the fritters, the market fish (trout from nearby Bucksnort), and the pavlova. It feels so nice to eat and feel safe!”

“Fantastic breakfast spot in a cute area of town with good shopping. The menu is clearly labeled what is gluten-free and what can be made gluten-free. “This is one of the best restaurants in Nashville, serving up Lebanese food. Even though nuts are on the menu, the waitstaff is incredible when it comes to dealing with allergies. They always check and double check about nuts and which ones I am allergic to. One of the best kept secrets in Nashville is that Epice has their own brunch menu! It is fantastic and has many gluten-free and nut-free options. Their waitstaff is some of the best in the city when dealing with allergies. You have to get the chicken and the grape leaves.”

Location: Nashville, Tennesse
“Gluten Free and Nut Free Crepes! Red Bicycle has some great coffee and the best crepes in the city! They offer both savory and sweet crepes (the savory ones are my favorite). Check out all of their Nashville area locations! I will warn for nut allergies they might have some cross contamination with the crepes (some contain peanut butter and pesto) so be sure to tell them your allergy when you order or order another one of their amazing items, like the tacos!”

4. Cotton & Snow
Location: Nashville
“I wasn’t initially going to get anything because I didn’t have all of the ingredients to their syrups and just felt really uncomfortable with it being a little kiosk shop in a food hall, but the staff members there went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. She said that they do have natural and artificial flavors in them, but that there should be none of my actual allergens in them. They obviously gave a disclaimer saying they couldn’t guarantee anything (the usual for a food allergy person). However, I did ask that they wash their hands thoroughly. They did this without hesitation and put fresh gloves on too. They also didn’t let my ice bowl touch the counter and were careful when handing it to me. The flavors I tried were coffee and then pink lemonade. I do recommend going at a non-busy time as the crowd factor does play a card in comfortability.”
