CALIFORNIA

Joy and Sweets

Location: Culver City, California

“If you’re looking for the prettiest cupcakes, cakes, and macarons in a dedicated gluten-free setting then look no further than Joy and Sweets. This bakery is the perfect place to cater any special event from birthdays to bridal showers. They made me the most delicious, moist confetti cake for my birthday. And whenever I’m in the area I always make it a point to pick up a cookies and cream cupcake or four.”

Verón

Location: Los Angeles, California

“It’s a VEGAN MACARON BAKERY! Need I say more? Not really, but I will. The entire place is egg and dairy-free. Both times I visited this year there were no peanut ingredients in the facility. The macarons are also gluten-free, soy-free, dye-free, free of corn syrup and palm oil. And most importantly, they are delicious!! There are also some rotating seasonal flavors as well—always something new to try! The bakery is open for very limited hours, but they deliver nationwide. The owner is wonderful and accommodating, so do contact her if you have a question or request!”

COLORADO

The Cake Bar

Location: Denver, Colorado

“It’s a fully vegan bakery! No dairy, no eggs. And absolutely no compromise on flavor because we got a LOT of different products here, and they were all drop-dead delicious! My kids got cake cups to eat right away, where you choose a cake flavor, frosting flavor and toppings, and they make it for you right there. We took some items to share with some friends and got cupcakes, macarons, tree cakes and mini-waffles (ALL VEGAN!), and they were thoroughly enjoyed by all!

It’s a small space with one bench—definitely more of a carry-out spot. They do have peanuts and tree nuts on the menu, but the staff know all about how to prevent cross-contact and care about the ingredients in the food. Lots of gluten-free options as well. Highly recommend!”

“Dedicated gluten-free bakery. Pricey but worth it! Get the black and white cookies and any of the mookies (macaron in a cookie!). They have a flavor mookie and macaroon of the month and are always coming out with new products. Their Mallomacs (think – gluten-free mallomars) are to die for and are only sold twice a year!! Stock up while you can! I have yet to eat a cookie I haven’t loved.”

“We were so excited to finally make it to Glacé by NoGlu. NoGlu is now a few stores down with more space and they still have their amazing pastries, salads and sandwiches. Glacé by NoGlu serves an assortment of ice cream and ice cream treats like macaron ice cream sandwiches! They even have gluten-free cones! We were there on a cold day so enjoyed their over the top hot chocolate! They have different flavor hot chocolates with a toasted marshmallow rim and whip cream. So far we have had the cookies and cream and crème brûlée. Both delicious but that crème brûlée with white hot chocolate and crunchy topped whip cream OMG! 100% gluten-free. 100% worth the visit!”
