Xinyi District

Orange Shabu SKM A9 Branch

Location: Xinyi District, Taipei City

“Really good with food allergies. They even recommended that I don’t order the Spanish pork because that type of pig is fed nuts.”

Din Tai Fung 101

Location: Xinyi District, Taipei City

“Busy restaurant. Our waiter took the time to go over the menu, to provide us with a list of what was safe. Our son had the braised beef soup and stir fried veggies. He loved it!”

INPARADISE Breeze Xinyi Branch

Location: Xinyi District, Taipei City

“This is a fancy buffet that requires reservations in advance. They have an online allergy menu in English and Chinese that is really helpful. Food allergy labeling requirements are different in Taiwan than the US, so unfortunately they did not list wheat as an allergen. They do list the other top 9 plus alcohol, honey, mango, and beans. I would recommend emailing them beforehand at [email protected] for the allergy menu, and still being careful at the actual restaurant as you can watch how the staff prepare and serve food and assess cross contamination (unfortunately they use the same serving utensils sometimes for different foods).”

Shilin District

Kurogeya Far Eastern Sogo Taipei Tianmu Branch

Location: Shilin District, Taipei City

“They have an allergy menu and a hard copy book outside of the restaurant disclosing all ingredients used (in Chinese). I talked to the waiter and asked them to give me normal soy sauce and not sesame sauce.”
