“While this was a last-minute pivot from our planned Airbnb, these suites were incredible. Huge rooms, small refrigerators, extremely clean and new (they still had that new smell!), excellent beds and showers, and no trace of food or allergens anywhere. We did some shopping for food at the local mini-market and kept things in the fridge. The small coffee shop on the corner had safe espresso drinks. The architecture was super unique, and there was a lift for two people at a time. Have I mentioned how great the AC was? It was a lovely place.”

The menu has allergy symbols, every staff member was knowledgeable about allergies, the indoor seating was very comfortable, and the menu was large but not overwhelming. We could basically eat everything on the menu. We even came here specially once just for the safe gelato. The staff were so friendly and smart! They were very welcoming to our big group!”

“The allergy menu is posted on the wall, and the staff were very well-informed. As soon as we mentioned our allergy, a staff member got a clean scoop and took a scoop from the untouched part of the bin. Then, they used another new scoop to scoop from the most untouched part of the gelato. We chose a flavor away from our allergens to be extra sure. Everything turned out great, and my daughter finally had her first gelato at 15 years old! It was exciting! We did have EpiPens and emergency options available in case things did not work out, but we did not need any of that. I am so grateful!”

“Waitstaff used our Italian allergy card in the kitchen to ensure a safe pasta dish for us! They also made sure no other dishes came into contact with ours, so there was no cross-contact. They also researched drinks—we were looking at an after-dinner drink, and it ended up not being safe, but we really appreciated the time they took to work with us on our allergy. All of the food was incredible, as was the ambiance and the neighborhood of Santo Spirito. 10/10 would go here again. The staff were so friendly and nice!”

“Wow! If you’re in Florence and want to take a cooking class while having a nut allergy, this is it! Our experience was perfection—every ingredient and label was double-checked. We also had another family in our class with a peanut allergy, so we had ample EpiPens! We did not need them, though. Everything about our cooking class was safe—we made two kinds of pasta together and tiramisu. The ladyfingers are usually not safe, and they were here! So thankful. Our meal turned out sensational, and the restaurant has a really fun vibe. Our teacher/chef was hysterical, and we had the best night. We all enjoyed it—ages 12, 13, 15, and 16, plus Mom and Dad!! It was a great time with great food.”

“The sushi bowl was great! When we sat down, we let the staff know about the nut allergy, and they said they could make it in a separate area with no cross-contact. It had edamame, pineapple, carrots, tofu, and a light mayonnaise-soy dressing. We used an allergy card to translate into Italian. It was a great little meal while waiting for the train!”

“We ordered a safe, standard dish while traveling in a new country: caprese. After reviewing our allergy card, the staff assured us this was a good option. When the salad came, there were crunchy brown bits on it. We learned that it is common to add crunchy or roasted olives on top. Luckily, we do not have an issue with olives, and the dish was amazing. We also had gnocchi, which was served the same way, with olives on top. It was so delicious. Honestly, the staff was so kind and welcoming, and the view of Lugano cannot be beat from the restaurant. It is steps from the train station platform and is lovely!”.
