Peanut and Tree Nut-Free Cotswalds and London Top Picks

Hi! I’m Gabby, I recently traveled to the Cotswolds and London on a fabulous trip thoughtfully planned by my travel advisor Eve Favia, who did an amazing job organizing must-see sights, unique experiences, and helped me find many safe spots to eat with peanut and tree nut allergies! I’ve shared them all on the Spokin app and they are featured in this guide. One of my favorites was hotel Estelle Manor, where I had the most amazing homemade meals in their 4 onsite restaurants! A fun thing to do if you are in the Cotswolds is touring Blenheim palace and exploring the antique malls of the Cotswolds. Estelle Manor

Estelle Manor

Location: Cotswolds, England

“I will be brief: if there is any question in your mind whether to book Estelle Manor, absolutely do not hesitate. It was one of the most incredible trips I have ever been on. With many restaurants/lounges on property you’ll be ecstatic with the lengths they go to for allergy control. But!! We also recommend venturing off property. Seriously this place rocks. Random side note but bring shampoo/ conditioner—one of them may have almond extract. I know I’m insane but I like to have good safe shower products. There’s a waitrose (grocery) 10 min away if you forgot to pack. They have everything.”

“Lots of great stuff close to Estelle Manor!”

The Fox at Oddington

Location: Cotswolds, England

“Delicious. So amazing with allergies. I think when we were there at least one person at every table had a nut allergy. Nut allergies are also very common in the UK. Chicken was fabulous. Everything was delicious and fun.”

Bar des Prés

Location: London, England

“This place was gorgeous, scene-y (in a good way) and delicious. Probably the most “nut filled” menu I experienced on my trip and yet the waiters took extensive care of me to ensure my safety. Definitely worth a dinner if you’re in the area. Pretty sure they have a St. Barths location also!”

Nina

Location: London, England

“I didn’t eat here but, I would feel so safe doing so—only one dish has nuts and it’s in a completely separate area. At the very least go for drinks. It’s so gorgeous and everyone who works there is amazing.”

The Dover

Location: London, England

“So good. Was such a gorgeous restaurant too. Not many nuts if I recall correctly. I didn’t feel a sliver of anxiety. Had amazing pastas and chicken. *Most restaurants in London will say that their food may be cross-contaminated—their laws are diff than ours. But 99.9% of “cross-contamination” they’re just referring to the ingredient’s also being in the kitchen….which is extremely common for those of us who eat out often! So I would recommend talking to manager wherever you go and get a good feel of their capacity to accommodate your needs.”

Daphne’s

Location: London, England

“Delicious! Very few nuts amazing at accommodating. So gorgeous I would recommend outside table if weather is fair.”

“Aw Bills is a cutie chain of easy casual (diner/ like) food. Easy and so great with allergies. Not sure they even had nuts on the menu. We got a fabulous breakfast (pretty quick too if your are busy and want to get on with your day)—I got eggs and pancakes and felt totally safe.”
