“My all-time favorite gluten-free pizza spot (and I’ve tried a TON). They have the most delicious Neapolitan-style pizza crust, and vegan cheese options if you’re dairy-free, too. It’s a cute spot in Brooklyn Heights that you can usually pop into for a bite in a local-feeling atmosphere. The Arrabiata is a must-try!”

“It was great to enjoy pizza by the slice. If you are looking to avoid shellfish, this is a great option because they only serve four different types of pizza and the flavor combos are classic and simple. Slightly overpriced at $6 a slice, but still delicious.”

Barboncino Pizza
“I love eating at Barboncino! If you alert your waiter about your allergies they are extremely helpful. One of my favorite neighborhood spots. I’m allergic to dairy, so one might not think that a pizza restaurant would be the best fit for me. However, they have an amazing selection of cured meats and salads in addition to pizza breads that don’t have egg or dairy. Feel free to call ahead and talk to a manager. Try the marinara pizza if you’re allergic to dairy! No eggs in the dough!”

“I’ve had the eggplant parmigiana, wood oven pizza specifically the Buffalo mozzarella, the butter lettuce sprout salad, the roasted potatoes and even the deserts my favorite was the Profiteroles and sea salt caramel and it’s safe to say they are all safe to eat, the waiters are very informed and aware and their kitchen does not use any peanuts/ nuts I’ve ate here countless times and not only is the food great but they never disappoint when it comes to allergies. ”

L&B Spumoni Gardens
“L&B’s is a STAPLE in my family when we are in Brooklyn! L&B has everything from traditional Italian pizza, gelato, ice cream, Italian ice to a full kitchen with heroes and classic Italian dishes. They have always been so vigilant and proactive whenever I mention my allergies. They cook in vegetable oil so I can safely have all the eggplant or shrimp Parmesan heroes. For Italian ice and gelato, they clean the spoon and get a new tub of your desired flavor from the back as well as a new and clean cup or container to put your Italian ice in. The pizzeria area is 100% peanut and tree nut-free! You definitely have to try their traditional Sicilian slice when you are there! This is a great place for anyone and everyone especially if someone in your party wants different things for lunch. It is all delicious and in one place. ”

“Authentic pizza spot in Chelsea Market — as in from Italy so squares vs New York slices (we ARE from Chicago so it’s an emotional topic)! “I’m not even exaggerating this is some of the best and most unique pizza I’ve ever had. “This spot was recommended to us by the concierge at our hotel and ended up being one of our favorite spots. Super casual, walk in, rustic little wood fired oven pizza place. Their menu is fantastic – I didn’t even have pizza and my meal was awesome. The staff was super knowledgeable about allergies and celiac and even offered us items that weren’t on the menu – like gluten-free focaccia which was awesome. Allergy food came out with little flags in it. Loved this place a ton. ”
