Gluten-Free Greece Top Picks

Hi! I’m Christina and I recently traveled to Greece! I found many safe spots to eat while managing celiac, and shared them on the Spokin app—they are also all featured in this guide. One of my favorites was Greek Stories in Athens where I had cheese croquettes and traditional moussaka. A fun thing to do if you are in Greece is visit the island of Milos and take a boat tour around the island! For a more off the beaten track experience, I’d recommend renting a car and driving around Peloponnese. Highly recommend driving through Crete for less touristy vibes and genuine Greek hospitality. PALLAS

PALLAS

Location: Chania, Greece

“On another night in Chania, we went to a restaurant that had more of a chic modern vibe compared to the more traditional spots we’ve been dining at. We were lucky to get a table, but definitely make a reservation if you’re going—it was packed. We ended up eating near the kitchen. It was open so we were able to see the chefs preparing the meal, which was a fun experience. “

The space was beautiful and much needed after a busy few days. There is a kitchen so we did prepare our own breakfast while staying there. Close to a grocery store as well.”

Oia’s Little Rock

“We had a wonderful stay at Oia’s Little Rock Airbnb. Would recommend the area for beautiful and stunning views. It was nice to be away from the crowds as well. This was a quiet area and a unique experience. The Airbnb was developed into a cave on the side of the mountain. The kitchen was separate. If you stay in the summer, I would recommend finding a different Airbnb though, because the one next to us had a plunge pool which would have been perfect for the heat. We had a patio that we enjoyed our breakfast on each morning over looking the water. Overall a great experience!”
