Hofbräuhaus München

“A different allergen menu is available upon request! Definitely gave me peace of mind eating here being out of the country.”

California Bean

“I had an incredible experience at California Bean. They had an English menu, and each item noted if it had allergens, preservatives, dyes, sulfates, etc. This must have been mandatory in Munich because every restaurant I went to had allergies and additives notes. I had a basic egg, bacon, and gluten-free baguette breakfast. There are lots of gluten-free options! This is a must-visit restaurant in Munich!”

Mezza Via

“The owners of this delicious, wonderful Italian restaurant were so helpful with my kiddos’ allergies and making sure they had something safe for dinner and dessert.”

Bohne & Malz am Stachus

“I had the Viennese schnitzel here, and it was a great experience! The menu was also very clear about what specific items had allergens. I ordered the schnitzel without breading. The schnitzel came with fries and a side salad. Those were allergen-free, so they didn’t have any notations next to their descriptions. Menu items that had allergens in all parts of the meal had a larger allergen notation.”

Rischart: Café am Markt

“I visited here on a trip to Germany with my family. We got breakfast. I stuck to eggs, avocado and some veggies to be safe. It was very good.”

Backwerk

“Super friendly take away place for fast meals. All foods are labeled with allergens (pastries, sandwiches, etc.). There are a bunch of BackWerk’s throughout the city.”

Schiller Bräu

“I had the pork schnitzel, and it was amazing! The staff made my schnitzel gluten-free by not breading it. The schnitzel came with cranberries and a side of crispy fries. This was my favorite restaurant in Munich because the food was delicious, they accommodated my allergies, and the ambiance was super cool.”

Nuernberger Bratwurst Gloeckl am Dom

“Some items on the English menu were marked with an allergen key. It was a little hard to decipher. I got ribs and stuck to something that was naturally gluten-free. It was great. We sat outside and had lunch here.”
