Allergy-Friendly Lawrence University Campus Guide

Lawrence University‘s dining service staff are all very friendly and willing to work with students on their dietary restrictions and needs! I’ve met with the staff a couple of times and was able to work out the possibility of getting a safe bread for me to make sandwiches in the dining hall! There is a SimplyOasis station free of the top allergens, as well as a gluten-free fridge section that also includes some nut-free/allergy-friendly Enjoy Life products! Their kitchen staff even goes through the FARECheck training.

Tempest Coffee Collective

I went here for the first time and was able to get a bagel with cream cheese! The manager let me check labels of the bread and made sure to make it safely so that there was no cross-contamination! And the nuts they did have were kept in a separate container!

Sushi Lover

I had this sushi place for the first time last weekend. I’m cautious about sushi places because sometimes I’m nervous about hidden nuts but I asked the waitress and she seemed knowledgeable and said they don’t use any nuts in the kitchen! My friend and I split the Sushi Lover Roll and the fresh Philly Roll! So yum!

Broken Tree Pizza

This place is entirely tree nut-free and their pesto is even basil! I got the Arya’s List Pizza that has balsamic glaze on top and it was so yum! Definitely will be going back soon!

Lawlss

I had such a good experience here! I was able to have such good clear communication with the baristas and they were so nice and willing to help. I’m new to stepping out of my comfort zone and trying coffee shops and this was such a memorable experience. So good, I really recommend! I got a vanilla bean iced latte.

Erberts and Gerberts

This is always a go-to for me when I want to eat off campus and want something quick! There’s no nuts in any of the menu items besides the packaged cookies, so I don’t have to worry about cross contamination! There’s also an allergen guide online, which is so so helpful!
