Erica’s Favorite Celiac-Friendly Arizona Spots

Hi! I’m Erica and I’m excited to show off my favorite spots in my hometown of Phoenix, Arizona! I have found many safe places to eat in the area while managing celiac and avoiding dairy and beef.  One of my favorite places to eat is Intentional Foods where I got the top 9 allergy-free Cubano sandwich and for sweet treat, check out Drink Me Tea Room and I’d recommend the gluten and dairy-free macarons. See my 38 reviews and follow me on the Spokin app @celiacandthebeast and on Instagram @celiacandthebeast!

Taste of China

Location: Gilbert, Arizona

“A hidden gem. Gluten-free fried Asian food. This place looks straight out of the 80’s but this mom and pop hole in the wall strip mall location produces the best gluten-free Chinese food I’ve had in Arizona. It’s inexpensive and safe! I’ve never found a place like this and I hope they stay open for as long as they can!”

“Incredible sushi by a James Beard nominated sushi chef. Great sake program. Looks like a hole in the wall in a strip mall. Trust me on this!”

Uchi Scottsdale

Uchi Scottsdale

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona

“Simply the best sushi you will eat in Arizona. This Texas-based chain finally made it to Scottsdale. This place is very expensive but worth every penny. They announce all of your allergens back to you every time they set down a plate.”

Prado Restaurant

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona

“Very pricey but worth it! Allergens are noted but the staff are very proactive about allergies and modifications.”

Picazzo’s Healthy Italian Kitchen Tempe

Location: Tempe, Arizona

“This entire chain is so good with gluten-free. The only gluten on the menu is their original pizza (made in a different oven). They can make most things gluten-free and dairy-free or gluten-free and vegan.”

Drink Me! Tea Room

Drink Me! Tea Room

Location: Tempe, Arizona

“This place is entirely gluten-free and vegan. That being said, it does use other allergens outside of gluten-egg and dairy. Their menu is pre-set tea and treats but their shop next door has to-go treats and tea too! Their macarons and sugar cookies are not to be missed. Don’t missed a themed high tea party here!”
