Appalachian State University Allergy-Friendly College Campus Guide

Hi! I’m Tobin and I attend Appalachian State University. I graduate in 2025 and am a Middle Grades Math and Science major. Currently, I’m planning to teach high school math over the summer. I manage wheat and dairy allergies and have shared 5 reviews on the Spokin app. Follow me there @centamoretg.

Appalachian State University

“I am very appreciative of how there is an allergy-friendly station at Central. It is so nice to know I will be able to have a meal every single day. In the past, it was not like this, and I appreciate how App has evolved to be more inclusive for students with dietary needs. Keep up the great work!”

Rooted on King

“Rooted is the best! I love how it is hidden away on the second floor, and it being combined with a yoga studio gives it such a spiritual atmosphere! They have an abundance of vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options to anyone in need. I never have an issue finding something to eat here!”

Boone Saloon

“Boone Saloon was the first restaurant I went to when I visited App and it did not disappoint! So much variety of food and beverages, and they have gluten-free bread! A great stop for budget friendly eating.”

Crossroads Coffee House

Crossroads Coffee House

“I love crossroads! They always have the best music playing, and they can make any of the drinks dairy-free with multiple milk options. The chai tea with oat milk is so refreshing!”

The Wired Scholar

The Wired Scholar

“Wired scholar has been a great place to get beverages during my time at App! They make a variety of drinks including smoothies, teas, and coffee. They are super flexible with smoothie options and customization, with plenty of dairy-free options!”
