Allergy-Friendly College Campus Guide: Emory University

em

My food allergy experience at Emory University was literally a dream come true! That being said, it did require a lot of work and advanced planning! I only ate at the main dining all (where all the employees knew me!) and never at any of the other dining halls. This main dining hall was completely free of peanuts, tree nuts, and shellfish. They also have a GF station and a vegan station.

Melissa’s Emory Campus Guide

Chipotle

Chipotle is the only safe “fast food” restaurant that I have eaten at, and it is so convenient that this one is walking distance from Emory University’s main campus! It sometimes takes quite a bit of explaining to get the employees to change their gloves and get ingredients out of fresh containers (to avoid cross-contact) but I have never had a reaction and appreciate the convenience!

I like to go with the house made flavors, as they can readily tell me all the ingredients of the syrups (and they claim they’re the best!). The staff are willing to change their gloves for allergy orders and always super friendly.
