Black’s Barbecue Austin
“Great bbq right near UT. Best Mac & Cheese. No nuts or sesame on the premises. Happy eaters.”

Velvet Taco
“When I tell you I am obsessed with this place, I mean it. They are a completely nut-free kitchen, which means I can even have their famous red velvet cake! The most unique and funky taco options, I would eat here for every meal whenever I visited Austin. My favorites are the Cali-shrimp tacos, the slow roasted brisket, and the chicken and waffle. I cannot emphasize enough how obsessed with this place I am.”

“Wonderful waitstaff and manager who spoke with me before we arrived. The BBQ sauce doesn’t have Worcestershire either which is amazing! The food was fantastic and the vibes were even better”

K BBQ
“We called ahead of time and then confirmed at the restaurant – no peanuts nor tree nuts! The only allergen oil they use is sesame!
My anaphylactic toddler safely ate the thin sliced brisket, unseasoned pork belly, macaroni salad banchan, pickled radish banchan, japchae, rice, corn cheese, and steamed egg!”

Chi’Lantro
“Korean bbq + Latin fusion that’s so good! Helpful allergen guide online that tells you each base component and the allergy friendly ones. For example, you could build a bowl with rice or noodles, soy glazed chicken, and veggies with carrot ginger sauce. Everything is good!”

Cooper’s Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que
“Staff was helpful here when I informed them of my allergies. No sesame on the menu at the moment. Pecan is the only tree nut, which is kept separately in the cobbler section. Meats are kept separate from the sides and desserts. Bread is kept separate in its originally bags in a container after you pay. ”

North Italia
“This was a delicious and safe meal and they were able to modify one of my favorite dishes, short ribs, to be safe for my allergy set! I will definitely be back soon.”

County Line
“The food is mostly just meat and a few sides. No nuts, very easy to have no dairy, and very easy to go gluten free. 90% of the menu is chicken, beef, or pork!”
