“I order the gluten-free broccoli crust pizza, salad with gluten-free croutons, and nut-free gelato that is portioned with a fresh/clean scoop.”

ARKANSAS

Geraldi’s

Location: Fayetteville, Arkansas

“I’ve eaten here multiple times, and the gluten-free pizza is good, and is a good size/price! For celiacs, they are, of course, unable to totally ensure that it’s not cross contaminated because it’s in the same oven as their other dishes, however, I am just gluten-intolerant, and found it to be delicious! I don’t believe there is any peanut-related cross contamination, however I would double check this as I have seen some different desserts at the counter (although none appeared to contain nuts at a glance).”

CALIFORNIA

Petrini’s Restaurant

Location: San Diego, California

“‘Awesomely good’ as stated by our 6 year-old. In talking with manager in advance and upon arrival, learned they could prepare not only safe pizza but also pastas (dedicated gluten-free pots/pans/utensils) and at least 2 sauces, if not 3. Had gluten-free bread but because of her egg allergy, it wasn’t an option for her. Being 6, she selected Ppizza and loved every bite! I tasted it and it was delicious! So we’re the meals ordered by the other 4 individuals with us! A smaller restaurant, not busy on a weeknight. A great find!”

Local Joe’s Pizza & Delivery

Location: Vail, Colorado

“Delicious gluten-free pizza with a tasty crust that does not taste like a cracker (like other places). Not too thin and they bring in their gluten-free crusts from a dedicated facility to ensure no contamination! Highly recommend taking a night off from restaurants and ordering this pizza while in Vail.”

INDIANA

Azzip Pizza

Location: Newburgh, Indiana

“When you ask for a gluten-free crust, they will ask if it’s allergy or preference. For preference, they don’t do anything special but for allergy everything is wiped down, gloves changed, utensils washed, and the pizza stays in its own disposable pan so it doesn’t get contaminated. They are willing to get fresh toppings, too. They have dairy-free cheese, too”

“5-6 ciders on tap and a really good gluten-free pizza—couldn’t tell it wasn’t a “normal” gluten-y thin crust (except for the fact I didn’t get violently ill!). I kept calling the place “Red Robin”—it’s not a Red Robin. It’s nothing like a Red Robin.”

@kummel who manages celiac

NEVADA

Evel Pie

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

“Detroit style gluten-free pizza, need I say more? This place is located in old Vegas on Fremont Street. The regular pizza is served on a thin crust so it’s easy to differentiate. The staff will tell you that the gluten-free pizza takes 40 minutes to make because they clean the area clean the equipment grab ingredients from the back and bake all the gluten-free pizzas in their own pans. Let me tell you, the wait is worth it. This pizza is greasy and saucy, the crust is crunchy and the inside pillowy soft and so tasty.”

Flatbread Company

Location: Providence, Rhode Island

“I may be biased because I was hungry, but this was arguably the best pizza I have ever had! No nuts in the entire restaurant! But they told me to still tell the waiter my nut allergy, so they could write it down and alert the kitchen to change gloves. I got the gluten-free Providence community flatbread which came with mozzarella, caramelized onions, and mushrooms and was SO GOOD! All gluten-free pizzas are cooked in and come to the table in a foil “pie dish” to prevent any cross contamination. They also have vegan cheese!”

PORTUGAL

Ginos

Location: Lisbon, Portugal

“Gino’s is a great place to go if you are celiac. There are two locations, one in Parque de Nações, and this one, in Principe Real. They have a completely separate (but limited) gluten-free menu, in which they guarantee their items ordered from the menu will be free of gluten and any contamination. The items ordered from the gluten-free menu are brought out on blue plates to signal they are from the “celiacos” menu. The gluten-free pasta is great but the gluten-free pizza crust was a bit dry. For other allergies, they have an extended allergen menu on their website where you can input your allergens and see what is safe, what may be cross-contaminated, and what contains the top 13 allergens. Safe for peanut allergies!”
