Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

“Phoenix airport had a nut-free section in my terminal! Amazing as this is usually not the case and I bring my own snacks on planes.”

CALIFORNIA

Oakland County International Airport

Location: Oakland, California

“This airport hosts a free annual open house and air show with lots of cool things to see. Bombers, life flight helicopters, old war planes, etc. Although we don’t eat there, there are many food choices that may be safe options. We do drink the fresh squeezed lemonade, we check with the vendor each year to make sure there is no chance of cross contamination. They are always helpful and patient with our questions. I never see any blatant nuts, such as roasted almonds, etc. It’s always a fun time and I would recommend it!”

GREECE

Chania International Airport Ioannis Daskalogiannis

“We flew out of the Chania airport to get to Athens and after missing our flight, spent a good amount of time here and ate lunch, had coffee, and snacks safely. We had lunch at a restaurant called Everest and my daughter had a ham and cheese sandwich and chips. I ordered a spinach pie and knew she would want a bite, they confirmed no nuts. They also sold Nestle Crunch bars including a white chocolate version that did NOT have a nut warning! We should have bought more! We also grabbed coffee and croissant from Labyrinth Flavors once we got past security and we used the Equal Eats card to manage that order because we weren’t as confident when ordering. Thankfully all went well!”

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

Dubai International Airport

Location: Dubai, UAE

“This probably sounds weird, but this airport is amazing! It’s rather new, very large, and a pretty fun place for a layover (compared to other airports of course)! Because it is a huge international airport, the food places there accommodate a lot of food specifications and restrictions. English is also the main language on signs and is spoken around the airport. I choose this as my layover airport when I need one because it’s a comfortable place to stay for several hours, I can usually find something to eat. There are also a lot of recognizable packaged snacks in the stores if you don’t feel comfortable eating fresh food.”

UNITED KINGDOM

Heathrow Airport
