Intentional Foods

“This restaurant is a dedicated TOP 8 FREE restaurant located in Mesa, Arizona. It is run by a couple who has a daughter with life threatening peanut and tree nut allergies. They understand that it is a place where families and friends can eat together and everyone is included! They have breakfast, lunch/dinner, and DESSERT options! My favorite items on the menu are the Hacienda Hash Bowl and the Mediterranean bowl. Mama Lisa’s Spaghetti and Meatballs are also a hit! They also have a market full of their favorite top 8 free snacks and goodies. Check them out, you’ll be in for a treat!”

“This is an amazing find! An Indian restaurant that has OUTSTANDING food, service and serious allergy protocols. I personally know the owner and she has a severe seafood allergy, so they can handle any allergy. They also make everything from scratch and have separate pans for the few nut dishes that are on their menu. Finally, an Indian restaurant my peanut- and tree nut-allergic daughter can eat at!”

Chaia Tacos Georgetown

Location: Washington, D.C.

“Just found out one of the owners manages a nut allergy in the family, so it makes sense how they totally understand food allergies! This was seriously the best place I ate at in DC! This is a “farm to table” completely vegetarian taco restaurant that is also 100% free of gluten and nuts! All the tacos except one (the potato and kale taco) can be made vegan! Their allergen statement on their website is also so clear! Also because they are completely vegetarian, there is no fish or shellfish in the kitchen! I’ve been back multiple times and tried the corn, mushroom, and potato tacos, and all are so good! This is seriously one of the most food allergy friendly places I have visited!”
