The Bennounas Farm
“Chef Benouna is so welcoming and lives on a wonderful property. He lived in the States for 40 years and had restaurants so he caters to US and Canadian tourists. We were greeted with a delicious and refreshing orange ginger mint drink by his wife and then we got a tour around their farm/home where we saw how they grow everything locally and fresh on their own property. Then we got to cooking where we made a salmon tagine, a fresh salad, and Berber bread with a local Berber woman. I had no worries about my food allergies here as we were cooking everything ourselves and the food was so fresh and tasty.
Highly highly recommend!”

“Breakfast at Kasbah Tamadot has a breakfast buffet every morning that is complimentary and absolutely delectable. There were no peanuts and the staff checked many times to make sure of that. When you first sit down, you are immediately brought a large platter of many different goods varying from traditional Moroccan pastries that are delicious, to croissants, muffins, cheese platters, and breads. In addition to all of this food, you also can order from the main menu—we tried the porridge and the Taktouka (which is essentially eggs in tomato sauce with a variety of spices). Everything at breakfast was great. Other days I had gotten the avocado toast with poached eggs! We really looked forward to this breakfast platter. The staff were also so sweet and thoughtful here!”

Kasbah Tamadot
“This restaurant was incredible. We started with opening the menu to see everything labeled clearly with all allergens. The waiters were very helpful and reassuring about my peanut allergy and everything here went smoothly. We started with a carrot gazpacho that was very refreshing. And to start we got a warm green soup and burrata—both were insanely delicious. For our main we got lamb and mashed potatoes.”

Moods Café-Restaurant
“This place is a more trendy restaurant. We personally thought that you may be better off walking around Casablanca and getting fresh bread from local places because there are so many storefronts baking fresh pitas and breads all around that are very affordable. We got a tower here with eggs, croissant, fruits, and yogurts. Our waiter told us many times there were not peanuts but then he brought out an assortment of sauces and one of them looked like peanut butter so I asked and he took it away immediately because it was this nut butter mixture that is popular in Morocco called amlou (a mixture of peanut butter and dates). Because of this I only had the croissant and eggs as I was nervous the Nutella sandwich has nut butter in it. This shows why it is always important to be aware, cognizant, and not too trusting of the staff especially when there is a language barrier.”

La Grande Table Marocaine | Royal Mansour Casablanca
“This restaurant has an incredible view of the city!
They brought over a date butter with bread that I was a little too nervous to try because it was my last night and I didn’t want to risk anything but apparently it is very delicious. Then we started with a fish soup and got the lamb cous cous for our main course and then ended the dinner with mint teas. Everything here was delicious it was very fancy and had a wonderful view of all of Casablanca. The waiters and waitresses here were also very kind and lovely.”

Restaurant L’Italien par Simone Zanoni · La Mamounia
“Tonight we wanted to have a meal that we could 100% trust because during the day we had an incident with the pastry so we went to this yummy Italian restaurant. The food here was delicious and the staff were very good with food allergies. We got goat cheese with blinis, Spaghetti and tomato sauce and a side of vegetables. They also brought this chili olive mixture that was amazing.”

Boutique Pierre Hermé · La Mamounia
“Here they are very good with allergies they even have card written out with all ingredients and the lady that checked us out called the head baker to make sure what we got had no peanuts in it. We got the Carrement Chocolate and the Tarte Infiniment Citron (like a lemon tart).”

Royal Mansour Marrakech
“There are many restaurants within this hotel, but we went to La Grande Brasserie by Helene Darroze. This hotel was also beautiful and the staff here were very accommodating and knowledgeable about food allergies of any sort. Some of the bites here were delicious but others were not extremely tasty. We started with them bringing out a cheesy croissant with a side of spicy red pepper butter that was absolutely yummy and then to start we had an eggplant vegetable flatbread that was good. And then for the mains we had lamb chops and a fish stew. They also brought out desserts for us which were a Madeleine pastry and they packed us an orange blossom cake to go. The bread here was also absolutely delicious.”

Villa des Orangers
“This restaurant was wonderful. It’s located inside a hotel and is kind of a hidden gem as it is on a street that you would not expect to house such a wonderful restaurant. They were even very good with the desserts and peanuts and our waiter spoke with the chef many times to guarantee that there are no peanuts in the desserts that we got. Started with a vegetable bite with fish on top. The Moroccan bread here was delicious. For our main meal we split the Moroccan sole and the chicken couscous. I was not a fan of the fish as it tasted very fishy but the couscous here was our favorite couscous on the entire trip. For dessert we got a chocolate souffle and a white chocolate mousse dessert with berries. The desserts here were unbelievable and I had no issues with my allergy.”

Extrablatt
“We went here a few times throughout our trip because it was fun to walk locally to see how the locals live and have delicious French croissants and cappuccinos (as Moroccan people speak French and Arabic. The waiters were also knowledgeable here about my peanut allergy and patient when we asked multiple times. Each meal I would show them a translation of my severe peanut allergy so that they were fully aware. Here we had crepes with sugar, croissants, and cappuccinos but they have all sorts of other things on the menu and from what I recall there were either no or practically little amount of dishes with peanuts.”

La Mamounia
“This hotel is beautiful and you could spend a few hours exploring the property. The food and coffee is definitely on the pricier side and I will say I didn’t love the lunch that was offered at the pool bar but we had eaten at other restaurants here that were great. The staff seemed a little confused about whether or not the french fries at the pool bar had peanut oil so I avoided them my first meal and then the second meal they told us they are definitely fried in argan oil so I ended up trying them and I was completely fine. In terms of peanuts I felt very safe here as the staff were careful and told us they would make the chef aware of my peanut allergy
We got: chicken salad sandwich, french fries, a cheeseburger here, and croque monsieur throughout different meals”
