GOSTIJO
Location: Athens, Greece
“This is a kosher restaurant that serves meat, so there is no dairy at all. They serve Greek classics, traditional Sephardic dishes, and other Mediterranean dishes. It was amazing to be able to try some classic Greek food without having to worry about any dairy. The food was delicious and everyone was very friendly!”

Holy Llama

“The best vegan pastries I’ve ever had! The whole bakery is vegan and uses no dairy. The food was delicious.”

4 Seasons Bio – Organic Food Market
Location: Athens, Greece
“This food shop is small but it had a lot of vegan/dairy-free items! I got a bunch of dairy-free snacks and here and even a pint of dairy-free ice cream! Most products had labels in both Greek and English.”

NEW Hotel
Location: Athens, Greece
“This hotel was great! There are bar/restaurants on the first floor and top floor. When I got drinks at the first-floor bar they asked if anyone had a nut allergy, and then brought out a bag of nuts in the original package unopened. I ate dinner at the rooftop restaurant and they were great with my allergy (see my other review for Art Lounge!). All of the staff spoke English and I also used allergy cards in Greek. The rooftop also has amazing views of the Acropolis. There is a small spa in the hotel, and the spa staff checked before I got a massage to make sure none of their oil/lotion products contained milk. We had a mini fridge in the room and a Nespresso machine that I felt comfortable using. There was not a microwave in the room. Overall great experience!”

Sunset Ammoudi by Paraskevas
Location: Oía, Greece
“I had a fantastic experience here! We called and emailed ahead of time when making the reservation to ask if they could accommodate my allergy. When we got there, our server was already aware of my allergy and had already spoken to the kitchen about it. I also showed him my allergy card (in Greek) and he confirmed he understood. He helped us identify what would be safe for me on the menu. We had the Greek salad without cheese, grilled octopus, tuna tartare, and grilled red snapper with steamed vegetables. Everything was delicious and we had a gorgeous view of the bay!”

Pacman Sunset Restaurant at Andronis Arcadia
Location: Oía, Greece
“I emailed ahead of time about my allergy and the restaurant confirmed they would be able to accommodate. When I arrived, our waitress knew about my allergy. I still showed my allergy card in Greek and she brought it to the manager to review. I was surprised to learn that a lot of the sushi contained milk, because the mayo they use for their spicy tuna/crab mix had milk in it. However, I was still able to safely eat some simple sushi rolls. All of the staff who served our food, in addition to the waitress, were aware of my allergy and confirmed the food was safe when they brought it to the table. Also, the venue is gorgeous at sunset!”

Physis Pure Vegan Restaurant
Location: Fira, Greece
“I confirmed by phone and with our server that there was no dairy and everything is vegan at this restaurant. It is a small restaurant with nice views located in a hotel. The food was delicious and all of the staff were very kind and welcoming! We had the aubergine salad, split pea soup, stuffed cabbage, and pasta.”

Art Lounge Rooftop
Location: Athina, Greece
“Restaurant/bar located on the top floor of the New Hotel! I ate here while staying at the hotel and the staff were very careful with my allergy. I used allergy cards as well. The views of the Acropolis are amazing especially at night!”
