ARIZONA
Ling & Louie’s Asian Bar and Grill
Location: Scottsdale, Arizona
“Hidden gem! Usually we would avoid an Asian themed restaurant for our type of allergies. The owner, John, and his waitstaff are knowledgeable and helpful. We are able to get the kids “Popcorn Chicken” with edamame and steamed broccoli.”

CALIFORNIA
Din Tai Fung
Location: Arcadia, California
“The allergen menu online is super helpful, and they just introduced a new line of vegan dishes (i.e. wontons, dumplings, and noodles made with JUST Egg instead of real eggs). I love this restaurant!”

FLORIDA
Hawkers Asian Street Fare
Location: Jacksonville, Florida
“They are super understanding and friendly! When they bring the food out they will specifically serve it as “Dumpling-with allergy.” They have dividers in the restaurant and only take cashless payments. Menus are also by QR code. I ate here before and during the pandemic and felt super safe.”

ILLINOIS
Mott St
Location: Chicago, Illinois
“Had a special shellfish and shrimp-free menu just for my allergen! It was custom and showed me all their dishes without my allergen, which was fantastic for an Asian restaurant. They also checked to make sure I wasn’t allergic to oysters/mollusks before putting in my order, and said their philosophy was to accommodate people of all food allergies. Two thumbs up.”

Wild Ginger
Location: Hinsdale, Illinois
“The staff always make my food at a separate station, and have walked me through the process of creating a safe preparation environment! It can be challenging to find safe Asian food restaurants, but Wild Ginger consistently does a great job!”

MARYLAND
Iron Age
Location: Rockville, Maryland
“There aren’t any nuts on the menu. It is possible to order shellfish but it’s easily avoided due to the nature of Korean BBQ. The radish kimchi does not have any shrimp (something hard to avoid when looking for kimchi!) and it’s very tasty.”

NEW YORK
The Original Buddha Bodai Kosher Vegetarian Restaurant
Location: New York, New York
“This is a restaurant in Chinatown that serves vegan dim sum and Chinese food! The menu items with peanuts are clearly labeled. I was so excited to eat some of my old favorites that I haven’t had since going vegan and to try some new ones that would traditionally have shrimp, like shumai and shrimp dumplings.”

NORTH CAROLINA
Red Bowl Asian Bistro
Location: Burlington, North Carolina
“Recently visited Red Bowl twice with friends and had wonderful experiences both times! I ordered plain grilled chicken and vegetables without sauce and they were delicious! When I told the waiters about the severity of my allergies, they never made a huge deal of it, but were diligent to be very cautious with my allergens and order and notified the kitchen. Definitely will visit again when back in NC!”

SINGAPORE
Eight Treasures
Location: Singapore
“This is a delicious Chinese restaurant in Singapore’s Chinatown! The menu shows which dishes have dairy. I tried the vegan satay, which was super flavorful even without the peanut sauce. (We were able to confirm that there were no nuts used in the marinade). We also had the local spinach soup and Eight Treasures noodles made with a vegan fish that was really tasty!”
