Power & Light
Location: Kansas City, Missouri, USA
“Can’t skip the famous Power & Light district when in KC! I didn’t get any food in the P&L district but there are many restaurants within and a couple blocks away. They have live music going on sometimes and some nights you have to pay/need a wrist band to get in so plan accordingly! Kids are allowed with a parent or guardian but also depends on the event/time of night so make sure to check before hand! Be prepared for some overpriced drinks!”

Yard House
Location: Kansas City, Missouri, USA
“They not only have an allergen guide listed online but also have it on a tablet that each table has. The server did let me know that there is cross contamination especially in the fryers but I personally don’t have any issues with cross contamination. The allergens listed are listed for the whole dish so if you need the allergens for something specific such as a hamburger bun you will have to ask your server. You are able to order appetizers off this tablet but I still ordered with the waiter to let them know about my allergens. I ordered a burger and had to sub for a gluten free bun due to the original bun having milk in it. Overall great experience.”

AC Hotel Kansas City Downtown
Location: Kansas City, Missouri, USA
“A nice hotel in KC located a couple blocks from the Power & Light district. The receptionist was soooo nice even upgraded our room for us! There is a small fridge in the room, they do offer breakfast and have your typical hotel “convenient” store where they had snacks for purchase but I didn’t get breakfast or any snacks from the hotel!”

Meshuggah Bagels
Location: Kansas City, Missouri, USA
“This bagel shop offered vegan cream cheese, when asking about the ingredients the worker let me know it is the “Follow your heart” cream cheese but didn’t know if it included peanuts or treenuts because the ingredients weren’t listed so you can look it up on google but for me I know that cream cheese is safe for me!”

Summer Moon Coffee
Location: Overland Park, Kansas, USA
“They had vegan/gluten free oatmeal cream pies with the ingredient list and placed outside of the food display away from the other bakery items that are not allergen friendly. I told them about my allergies and they let me know they have a special pitcher they use that is throughly washed after each use and also noted allergy on the ticket. They create their own thing called “moon milk” which is sort of like a cold foam but it can be made with any dairy free alternative milk!”

Shack Breakfast & Lunch
Location: Overland Park, Kansas, USA
“Right when we walked in the host asked if we needed a gluten free menu so they do offer a separate gluten free menu! They acknowledged my allergies and made sure no butter was used for my order, a safe and accommodating spot.”

The Factory
Location: Chesterfield, Missouri, USA
“Went to a concert at this venue and they only serve food in a more closed off area that you need reservations for. You aren’t allowed food outside of that area so the venue is super clean and no worries about any food on the floor or near your seats! They offer seating on their balcony level and also have a bar up there so you don’t have to go up and down, definitely recommend the balcony area if you don’t like to be in the crowd of people, also a great way to ensure you won’t come in direct contact with allergens in the case someone has or ate something!”

Hampton Inn & Suites St. Louis/Chesterfield
Location: Chesterfield, Missouri, USA
“Was out in St. Louis for a concert and this hotel was in a great location! Many restaurants/fast food places around, some even walking distance! They offer breakfast but honestly did not have much I could eat and cross-contamination is definitely a big issue as it is a self serve breakfast buffet! They offer a lot of healthier snack options such as lesser evil popcorn that you can purchase and the room did have a fridge!”

St. Louis Bread Co.
Location: Chesterfield, Missouri, USA
“Grabbed a quick dinner from St. Louis Bread Co. aka Panera. I placed a mobile order because I have never had a bad experience with Panera so I feel comfortable mobile ordering! A new feature I’ve never seen before is you can mark down your allergens which is super nice especially when mobile ordering as someone who prefers to mobile order! I get their turkey bacon bravo sandwich with ciabatta bread and no cheese and chicken noodle soup!”

PaPPo’s Pizzeria & Pub W Nifong Columbia, Mo
Location: Columbia, Missouri, USA
“Was driving through on the way to St. Louis and decided to stop for some pizza! Found this place that has vegan cheese, it was so good and had the perfect amount of cheese and the cheese was melted!”
