Connection — my son and I connect on our food choices and desire to be selective about what we put into our bodies. Mine is for nutrition benefits — his is for a food allergy — but, either way, we both read food labels and carefully choose the types of food we eat to keep our bodies healthy.
2. Your go-to favorites for food allergies?
Bacon + Broccoli, of course! Having a kid with allergies can be challenging from a nutritional perspective, so one night we agreed on this meal to balance it all! I like to think of it as the yin and yang!

Allie’s Gluten-Free Goodies: We visited when we were in New York, and Allie came out, asked my son what he was allergic to, and said, “You can eat anything here. You are perfectly safe.” It literally brought tears to my eyes. They ship all over the country, and the treats are gluten, nut and dairy free.
At home, we love popcorn cooked in coconut oil. Simple, easy and awesome to get essential fatty acids in my son’s diet while he enjoys a salty, crunchy snack.
