“What a fun movie theater! They have a full menu of food and there’s a waiter that you can call over at any point during the movie. I didn’t get too adventurous with trying new things here, but you can talk to the waiter before the movie starts and then during the movie you write down your order on a piece of paper, so I just included a note about my allergies every time on the paper when I ordered! I just had popcorn, and a note for anyone with a dairy allergy, the butter is optional, so we got it without and it was perfect! I’m excited to go back here, super fun experience! Plus it’s right in the heart of the Seaport, so tons of fun restaurants and things to do near by!”

I think we will make it an annual thing to see a movie in downtown Charlevoix!”

“I’ve worked here for years and can tell you anything you need to know about allergies here! The only thing I can’t eat on the menu are the hot dogs and hamburgers as the buns contain sesame, but I’ve never had an issue with anything else. Note we don’t use separate fryers so those with milk and gluten allergies should avoid fried foods and stick with the candy. Also the only movie theater popcorn I’ve ever found without coconut oil! Just ask about allergies and we’ll be happy to help!!”

“I recently looked into the ingredients of the popcorn at Events Cinemas and learned that it does not have butter on it. I always avoided popcorn at the cinemas as I assumed it would be coated in butter and thus, have dairy in it.
Amazingly, I discovered that the popcorn at Events Cinemas is butter-free! Their popcorn is made by a company called Parlour Lane Popcorn and you can check the ingredients for each popcorn flavor on their website. I always stick with the original plain flavor which is the salty flavor. The ingredients include popcorn kernels, vegetable oil, sugar and salt. There is a may contain warning for milk and soy – however, I have eaten this popcorn numerous times now and have never had any issues or signs of a reaction!”
