Let’s Meat Souvlaki
Location: Adamas, Greece
“A great spot for takeaway by the Adamantas Port! I safely enjoyed the lamb gyro and Greek salad. We wanted to go back the next day before our ferry left, but they weren’t open until noon. It’s a very traditional Greek menu, so no peanuts in the kitchen. Our food was ready so fast!”

Kalos Tous Mas
Location: Athens, Greece
“Very good chicken gyros. I paid €4 total for a chicken gyro (that was massive) and a Coke. Very much worth it.”

Suvla Athens
Location: Athens, Greece
“Second-best Gyro I’ve had in Greece! I replaced the sauce with tzatziki. When ordering, the waiter took my translation card to the kitchen to ask about my order (chicken gyro wrapped). They told me they would ensure it was safe with changes to the seasoning. They have an “open kitchen”, so I watched them read every ingredient, wipe down everything, and then make my gyro. They were diligent and careful!”

The Greco’s Project
Location: Athens, Greece
“Had another good gyro here with tzatziki and pita bread! The waitstaff were knowledgeable and helpful. The restaurant is also conveniently placed in the square next to the metro.”

Grill & Pita
Location: Athens, Greece
“The best gyro I have had in Greece! Everything is made fresh daily and just once! So you gotta go before they run out of your preferred protein! The staff is very knowledgeable and there are no nuts!”

Loutraki Beach
Location: Chania, Greece
“This is a small family beach that is nice and clean and *organized* which means you can rent chairs and umbrellas. They have a small place to buy lunch including gyros, sandwiches, Greek salad, drinks and ice cream bars. We did use our Equal Eats card to communicate, which at first they seemed overwhelmed by, but read it and said there were no nuts anywhere. My daughter safely had a pork gyro with French fries and a lemonade. Very grateful to have a card! You could very easily bring your own food and eat it at the beach too!”

Let’s Eat
Location: Imerovigli, Greece
“This was my first time having an actual gyro because this restaurant offered a vegan and nut-free tzatziki sauce! It was so good, I loved it—we went here twice during our stay. I got a burger the 2nd time with no cheese, and it was really good, but I would definitely get the gyro if I went again.”

Stavropoulos Meat & Grill Nafplio
Location: Nafplio, Greece
“The best Gyro! I will be dreaming about this one forever. No nuts on site, which is great! It was very busy when we went, but the staff were helpful!”

Pitogyros Traditional Grill House
Location: Oia, Greece
“We’ve gone here all three days while in Oia. I contacted them ahead of time, and they let me know what was safe.
They recommended sticking with the pork or chicken souvlaki or pancetta, as all those meats are made in-house. As long as the tzatziki was eliminated, the gyros were safe for my allergy. The french fries are also out of this world.
Highly recommend this super delicious gyro place while in Oia!”

Vlahos
Location: Pefkohori, Greece
“Such a cute and shaded spot for authentic gyros and souvlaki in Plaka! We were recommended this spot by a local on our boat cruise. Their menu was not available online, so we checked it over at the restaurant before getting a table. There were no obvious nuts, other than in the desserts. We safely enjoyed the chicken souvlaki pita wrap, lamb gyro, tzatziki, french fries, two cokes, and two Greek beers for less than €30!”
