Allergy-Friendly Campus Guide: Grand Canyon University

Hi! I’m Hannah Schneider, and I attend Grand Canyon University in Pheonix, Arizona. I’m currently a recent graduate and I’m majored in Business Management. After graduation, I have been building a candle company that uses beeswax as a base in hopes that it will help people with allergies and asthma. I manage peanut, tree nut, milk, egg, soy, fish, shellfish, wheat, sesame, and corn allergies and have shared lots of reviews on Spokin app. Follow me there @hannahyuli and on Instagram @hylschneider.

Grand Canyon University

“Many options on campus for those with allergies, both when dining-out and when looking for food in the marts on campus. Detailed guides online to find common allergens as well.”

Lope Mart or herdstop

“When shopping for food on campus, there are many allergy-safe options, such as Madegood products, Sweet Loren’s, Rice Ramen, etc.”

Intentional Foods

“Absolute favorite go-to restaurant. They are free of the top allergens and they ask if you have any others so they can double check all the other ingredients that might have cross-contamination”

Flower Child

“Unfortunately there was nothing specifically on the menu that I could eat here but the staff ended up creating a dish specifically for me that was free from all of my allergens. They even brought out extra sauces that I might like because they weren’t completely sure what would go best with the other parts of the dish.”
