Patrizia’s of New York

Location: Noord, Aruba

“Mom of a toddler with food allergies. We were able to order off the children’s menu, and my daughter devoured her spaghetti and meatballs! Server knew that there was no sesame in the restaurant, and the only nuts were in walnuts in a salad, which was prepared in a different area. He marked our ticket for allergies anyway. Pasta all made in house! It was a memorable meal because I felt so relaxed.”

I was able to speak to the chef over the phone to prepare a fully allergy-friendly menu. They even had custom printed menus with food allergy symbols on them for us. They were able to customize any entrée to make sure it was gluten-free. And the day of our event, they were able to provide gluten-free bread to everybody who is gluten-free. I highly recommend.”

Azzurro Ristorante Italiano Aruba

Location: Noord, Aruba

“I ate here yesterday with a peanut, tree nut, sesame, and shellfish allergy. I spoke with the manager, and he was very, very allergy-aware. I was able to eat my first safe meal in Aruba here after a few poor experiences at other restaurants with cross-contamination. Manager was aware that there was a nut dessert and one cold cut with nuts that was on the specials menu, but he was able to assure that these items are not in the food prep area. He also assured me that there were no seeds in the bread. Food was good, and the view was beautiful.”

Most things are gluten-free, except for the fried food and dishes with soy sauce. There are nuts, but it’s mostly pine nuts, and they can take them out of dishes. Super delish and beautiful view!”

STAY

Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa And Casino

Location: Noord, Aruba

“This is the most unbelievable resort for food allergy sufferers. They have a separate kitchen, a food safety director, and the sous chefs, who prepare the allergy food, are trained here in the states. The chef told me he has had a kid with 27 food allergies coming for years. The kid can only eat chicken and sweet potato fries, so that’s what they make him. The staff is unreal too—the nicest people who only want to make your stay enjoyable!”
