Hampton Chocolate Factory – Tampa
“We found this spot on TikTok for their famous HUGE soft serve ice cream (it’s 5 lbs of ice cream!) and a ton of toppings. Came here with my non-allergy daughter and would have never thought it could be allergy-friendly, but the only ice cream they have is soft serve and only in vanilla or chocolate. They also have cups, not just cones, and they said they absolutely can handle allergies—at least nuts. They definitely do have nuts, but I would be comfortable that I could find something for my daughter. Pro tip: get the kid’s size cup—it was huge!
This is located in a VERY fun area by the water with a ton of food stalls, outdoor seating, and music—also right near the Aquarium. Would have loved to spend more time over here but we only had time to pop in and out—I think very touristy (we were hugged by grown men dressed as pirates) but I saw shaved ice that looked safe (didn’t have time to ask, and a popsicle stand that said they were nut free!)”

“All of the top 8 allergens are listed on each individual flavor and on the website. We went here because they had Dole Whip, but were pleasantly surprised that she could eat other flavors (she had coconut and vanilla). They offered to get her fresh toppings from the back. We had a great experience! ”

COCO LOV
“The healthiest dessert! This place is really cool—they have fresh coconut water, sea moss, ice cream, coffee, and crepes. Everything in the store is gluten-free, all natural, non-GMO, plant-based, dairy-free, refined sugar-free; no additives, artificial flavors, preservatives, or gums. They use house-fresh coconut milk, dates, and farm-fresh fruits to make their ice cream (If you’re allergic to coconut, be aware!). There are nuts—the menu labels which items contain nuts. I asked about the ice cream, and they were able to tell me all of the ingredients in the different flavors. She cleaned the scoop and got a fresh scoop for me. The nuts were labeled on the menu, but also on the ice cream case, so it was easy to see which flavors had what nuts (for example, the vanilla said almonds under it). It was delicious, and it was a fun hole-in-the-wall find!”

“Whenever I go to Florida, this is my go-to ice cream shop. They are really good with people with food allergies! The staff are very nice, and whenever you ask them if they can go get a clean scoop and a new can of ice cream, they will always do it! Highly recommend.”

Super Scoops
“All allergens are documented on individual bins of ice cream. The cones come straight from the box. Staff are proactive and helpful. The owner has a nut allergy. There are nuts/peanut butter ice cream flavors, but they’re kept separate.”

“I’ve been there a couple of times for a peanut and tree nut allergy. I tell them I have an allergy, and they make it in the back with a clean scoop and a clean mat!”
