Ah Meng Restaurant
“Highly recommend breakfast in the wild – buffet style but pretty quiet. Many safe options. I mentioned my peanut allergy to staff as they let us in, who then went to check with the chef. The chef walked around with the hostess double checking ingredients of everything, and then when it was time for us to go in the hostess walked around with me and pointed out what I could eat (a surprising amount!) and what to avoid. The animal interactions are also super fun for all ages.
I would recommend emailing ahead for other allergies, but I imagine they will be able to accommodate.”

Cedele Bakery Kitchen – Raffles City
“This is a bakery/cafe serving more Western-style food. I did a BYO bowl with quinoa/lentils as the base, falafel as the protein, and tofu, carrots, broccoli, and grilled kabocha pumpkin as the toppings! The menu is very well-labeled (i.e. vegan, vegetarian, contains dairy), and the staff answered all my questions easily.”

Champion Bolo Bun
“Completely nut-free! They specialize in and only sell Hong Kong pineapple buns and teas. The bread was a bit softer than a traditional pineapple buns, but the crackle top and taste were great! It is however very pricey and the tea wasn’t a bit watery, so I’m not sure if I’d go back. The Singaporean curry bun was so yummy though!”

Din Tai Fung
“Another consistent safe bet around the world – although they do now have a few dishes with peanuts, they were very clear which dishes were and were not safe/had risk of cross contamination. Safely had xiaolongbaos and veggies.”

Eight Treasures
“This is a delicious Chinese restaurant in Singapore’s Chinatown! The menu shows which dishes have dairy. I tried the vegan satay which was super flavorful even without the peanut sauce. (We were able to confirm that there were no nuts used in the marinade.) We also had the local spinach soup and Eight Treasures noodles made with a vegan fish that was really tasty!”

Fu Hua Soya Bean
“This is a hawker center stall in Singapore that serves desserts made from soft soya bean curd (aka tofu!). It’s something I always like to have when I’m in Singapore, because I can’t really find it anywhere else. I always order the set with sweet red bean, taro, mochi-like balls, tapioca pearls, and attap seeds. It’s topped with soy milk and a sweet syrup. Sometimes, I have this for breakfast, too! It’s naturally vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free; there is a designated spoon for each topping, so I wasn’t too worried about cross contamination.”

Greendot Junction 8
“This is a vegetarian restaurant with several locations around Singapore! The menu shows which items contain dairy and eggs. I tried the laksa which was amazing—usually it has seafood (and sometimes dairy)—so I was so happy I could finally try one of Singapore’s most famous dishes! I also tried a steamed mushroom bun which made for a great snack. One thing to note is that ‘plant-based’ has different meanings in different places, so some of the items have dairy, but I was able to ask and confirm which ones I could eat. The ‘vegan’ ones are all dairy/egg/meat-free though!”

Harvest – Salad & Protein Bowl
“I love Harvest because there are no nuts on the menu! When I see these healthy bowl restaurants, I often avoid because I know there will be nuts. However, Harvest is a rare find. The menu is quite small, you choose a protein and a grain, add the vegetables, toppings such as seeds and sauces. It takes minutes for it to be ready and it always feels like I’m eating the freshest and healthiest of foods!”

“Completely nut-free! 💕 Great safe lunch specials. I had the chirashi don.”

Joie
“Truly gorgeous gorgeous food and so allergen friendly. They checked everything and made adjustments where necessary. Definitely a special-occasions-only type of restaurant for the price and portions, but couldn’t recommend more based on allergy attentiveness.”

Jypsy One Fullerton
“I’m usually pretty wary about Asian fusion and honestly it’s been a bit of a struggle finding restaurants that are confident in their abilities to handle severe allergies/cross contamination. But after emailing them and stressing the severity of my allergies, I was thrilled to find out they have absolutely no nuts or nut oils and they also have spins on classic local dishes like chili crab and curries! We had some sashimi since that still felt safest anxiety wise, a green tea soba salad, and a chili crab sushi roll. Would definitely recommend!
Update: I took my fish-allergic boyfriend here and had an incredible safe meal! They were able to modify dishes when necessary – safely shared the chili crab roll (replaced salmon eggs with spicy coconut tempura flakes) and a wagyu curry flatbread.”

Kazbar – Middle Eastern Restaurant | Charcoal Grilled Meats & Cocktails
“Loved this restaurant and loved the food! It’s located in central Singapore in a cute street with other bars and restaurants. I love Middle Eastern food, and this restaurant did not disappoint. I explained to the waitress about my allergies, and she shared which foods would be suitable as there were dishes that contained nuts. The waitress had informed the chef who informed me that some foods are cross contaminated in the fryer, so I then avoided those foods. I ordered the hummus, harissa pita, chicken and lamb kebabs! The price was also really good, so I will definitely be going back.”

LAVO Italian Restaurant And Rooftop Bar
“I visited LAVO recently and only went for drinks but decided to get something off the bar menu. We chose the garlic bread which was both massive and delicious. When the waiter took the order, I was really impressed that he asked first if anyone on the table had allergies. This doesn’t happen often in Singapore, and the waiter was very friendly and accommodating!”

Roberta’s Pizza
“Came here based on a recommendation on the app and was not disappointed! No peanut oil used (they use olive oil) and from what I gathered no peanuts either.
The pizzas were thin and very tasty. They provide chilli sauce if you’d like it too.
Not very cheap (to be expected for marina bay sands though) – $77SGD for 2 magherita pizzas (+ garlic on one, and + pineapple on the other) and 2 drinks (water and coca cola). But worth it for me for the lessened anxiety.”

TAJINE Moroccan Tapas & Cocktail Bar
“Absolutely loved it! The waiting staff were excellent. They checked my allergies with the chef and informed me of the foods that I could / couldn’t eat. They came regularly to check everything was okay. The food was amazing! One of the best meals I’ve eaten in Singapore for a while! There were quite a lot of nut dishes on the menu as it is a Moroccan restaurant so I was apprehensive to start, but the restaurant was really accommodating and helpful so I would 100% return!”

The Butcher’s Wife
“Dedicated gluten-free restaurant in Singapore with a Latin inspired menu. I had the gnocchi and chocolate dessert which were both great! I wished we got a bit more for what we paid though.”

TIANN’S
“This was my favorite dedicated gluten-free restaurant in Singapore by far! They had a variety of options, including more traditional dishes, and western cuisine. I specifically loved the chicken and the BIBIBOP bowl!”

Traditional Pancake
“This is a stall at a hawker center in Ang Mo Kio that serves pancakes filled with black sesame, sweet red bean, coconut, etc. — I’ve been a couple of times and asked about dairy/eggs, and the woman who works at the stall always assured me that the pancakes don’t contain either allergen. She also asked if I had allergies, and said it was good to ask to be safe. Most hawker center stalls aren’t super accommodating of food allergies, so I really like going to this one! Note that there is a pancake with peanuts, so if you’re sensitive to cross contamination, it might not be the best option.”

Two Men Bagel House Joo Chiat
“Absolutely delicious! All the bagels sound amazing at this restaurant but I chose the smoked salmon and cream cheese. It’s a perfect breakfast/brunch option which is quick and easy. Even though there are nuts on the menu, they were completely accommodating! It’s a must have if in Singapore.”

Wild Honey Mandarin Gallery
“I had breakfast at Wild Honey on the weekend, and it was delicious. I love eating at Wild Honey, the menu is great because the allergens are clearly stated. I also informed the waiter who also reassured me there were no nuts in this dish, and he was very understanding. I also noticed there were no peanuts on the menu, but quite a few dishes did include nuts. *There was also a message on the menu that points out that food items may have traces of allergens, but I know a lot of restaurants now do this.*”

Yardbird Southern Table and Bar
“Their fried chicken is nut-free/dairy-free. After a pretty stressful week and a half of eating, I was happy to have two safe meals here. They also offer gluten-free fried chicken that is nut/dairy-free as well.”
