The Smith
“We had a great meal at The Smith. The waiter knew the ingredients of every menu item and the food came out with flags to indicate allergies. The waiter also told us that the bread was made off site and that although it doesn’t contain nuts, there could be possible cross-contamination. He was extremely proactive. ”
A La Mode
“The ice cream at A La Mode is nut-free, egg-free, and sesame-free. It is not free from Top 8 allergens, but great for children with egg and nut allergies. I believe they have dairy-free options, as well. It’s my family’s favorite!! ”
By the Way Bakery
“Amazing gluten-free and dairy-free bakery in NYC! I happened to have the cake not knowing it was gluten/dairy free (my kids with food allergies weren’t with me so i didn’t ask) It was incredible!!!! The chocolate chip cookies were my favorite and I’d recommend to those with and without dietary restrictions.”
Baked Cravings
“We were thrilled to find Baked Cravings in NYC! I got there right before closing time and the owner couldn’t have been nicer! I got a s’mores brownie and a bunch of assorted cupcakes. Everything was delicious! Will definitely be back soon!”
Forty Carrots
“We had a great experience at Forty Carrots, located inside Bloomingdales Department Store in NYC. I should mention with my daughters multiple food allergies, I do keep it as simple as possible when dining out. For this daughter, we ordered Mac and cheese. She also had yogurt and when I mentioned to the waitress that if she got a topping it would have to be from original container in the back—she was already one step ahead noting that allergy orders are always prepared that way, even if the customer doesn’t specify. My other daughter with strictly a tree nut allergy had even more options. We will def be back soon.”
Nobu
“Our family loved our trip to Nobu 57! The staff was extremely knowable and helpful. We had a bunch of different rolls, yellowtail with jalapeño and cod with miso sauce. Everything was amazing! My kids were able to have dessert even with a tree nut allergy!”
Catch NYC
“My kids really enjoyed this restaurant! The wait staff was very knowledgeable. We had Sushi, crispy rice with tuna, pretzel bread, gyoza and truffle fries and were able to manage our tree nut and mustard allergies. Decor and atmosphere very nice too!”
Mendy’s NYC
“We had the most delicious latkes at Mendy’s Kosher Deli! They were cooked perfectly and the apple sauce that it was served with was very good too. I asked questions and felt comfortable during my visit but I’d suggest asking questions too since they do have a large menu **just to be extra safe**”
12 Chairs Cafe
“My daughter loved this restaurant for brunch. Had pancakes while managing a tree nut and mustard allergy. Loved the food!!!!”
The Mark Restaurant by Jean-Georges
“My family had a great experience at The Mark Hotel/restaurant for lunch. The waiters were very knowledgeable about everything! My kids had the pizza, salads and penne on one visit and waffles during a second visit. An upscale, beautiful place to visit during the holiday season!! ”
Popup Bagels
“Visited this bagel store and had a positive experience! The concept is an uncut bagel that you tear yourself and dip into cream cheese of different varieties. My daughter had a plain, everything, salt and sesame during different visits with scallion cream cheese while managing tree nut and mustard allergies.”
The Donut Pub
“The Donut Pub is a nut free bakery and restaurant. They often donate baked goods to the NYC FARE Luncheon, so I had a level of trust before entering the store. The donuts are incredible! Fresh, delicious and a huge variety. They also have amazing coffee and diner style food. Love this place! ”
